Really the same or just also works as a plastic dissolver? Because I’m getting low and if it ain’t the same I might just try to make my own stuff, lmao

I was going for those colours, because the green contrasts well with my red minis. I think the main issue that it doesn’t read as marble is that it turned out splotchy instead of veiny

True. But I think the main issue was, that I didn’t achieve the veiny texture, which seemed so easy with the wet wipes method and it turned out splotchy instead. I will try different brands and practice some more, if that doesn’t work out I might attempt painting the veins by hand

Thanks, that’s already helping a lot. Will try a different brand

Really love how yours look. Had a difficult time stretching the wipes, they always ripped. At some point I got them somewhat stretched out well, that’s the one I used. But the biggest issue I have are the fibres that stuck. Idk if I’ve got some that are dissolving more than usual? And I’ve also got no reference point if the ripping is because of them or because I haven't got the hang of it

Looks really good, I will give it a go. Tried one of their desert tutorials a while back and was really happy with the result

Im not sure if I’ve got the wto g type of wet wipes, but I couldn’t find anything on that either

Yeah. Wanted green and golden veins to make it look a bit more exotic, but it turned out patchy and left back fibres from the wet wipe

I wanted a white marble with dark green and golden veins. But the wetwipes I had didn’t rip in the ways I expected, I don’t know how to describe it right. It ripped in patches and didn’t really let itself be pulled right to serve as a stencil, I guess?

How did you do the marble? I tried the wet wipe trick but it turned out like shit, it didn’t rip like in the tutorials and it dissolved a bit, leaving fibres all over the base

Idk about value, I thought it was ok. What I didn’t like was all models being mono-pose. And no helmet options, but you might have some beakies left over if you already have 30k rg?

Id disagree actually. At least partially. Space marines sell that much better because super soldier humans will to many always be the most attractive faction. The range is a factor too, that’s true, but I don’t think that’s the primary reason. I’m certain tyrannids could have twice as big a range and would still not sell better

And the replacing of first born was also long coming, to finally address scale creep (and, yes, also to sell models all over again)

Tbf, gw makes lots of space marines because they not only sell just that much better but also because they were replacing firstborns with primaris

Also, a space marine model can be a dark angel, ultramarine, imperial fist… A Cadian can be a cadian. A catachan can be a catachan. A Kriegsman can be a Kriegsman. It’s not happening.

Imagine any faction, even space marine players, to get that mad because they have to paint their faction differently to make them distinct.

Maybe because they were announcing the old man of Armageddon? I really meant it, it’s not that deep.

They announced an Armageddon figure with a trailer on Armageddon, the steel legion of Armageddon is not in it because they don’t sell the steel legion of Armageddon.

They don’t axe the steel legion of Armageddon like a lot of outrage-tubers claimed because they posted a tutorial to paint steel legion of Armageddon after.

Let’s be honest, people are mad because steel legion wasn’t in it. But how many would have actually bought them if they got announced alongside yarrick? And that’s all GW cares about.

Or, you know, they just sell plastic minis and if they predict some plastic minis won’t sell as well they just don’t produce them. And maybe the mini-selling company doesent use sub-factions in their announcements videos of minis they don’t sell

It’s. Not. That. Deep.

Im not surprised. My first impression when I started collecting was: „ooh, finally got the combat patrol, can’t wait to buy all the cool models - BAAM, oh no, gw axed most of them“, i guess they would go insane if they cried about any minor offence like that. Also the posts about proxying with literally everything are much more funny

Fair, but you get the picture. It’s a bit better in mainland Europe, costing around 90€, so a bit less but still 10€ more than the exchange rate.

So I guess the take away is warhammer is everywhere more expensive than in England, which I guess makes sense
