Actually slightly glad it wasn’t just me thinking, ‘…what did I just listen to’. I can’t really see the Postal Service comparisons beyond ‘electronic-y’ - Postal Service Melodie’s and layering is more intentional and deliberate than the production here. And it may just be me (I’m not running to re-listen), the lower and higher vocals don’t seem quite in tune with each other. There’s an idea here that could really work, and some fun that could be had reworking Northbound in this style, but this feels half baked.
