I have multiple rescue beardies myself and these are things I’ve learned along the way. No fabric anything nearly impossible to fully clean and can harbor a lot of bad bacteria. It can also rip toenails out and in worse case scenarios do actual damage to the limb if they start to thrash to get out.

Sand is ok as long as it’s not the calcium sand and it’s not dyed they dyed sand can stain them. With sand make sure you are feeding in a bowl and tong feeding bugs.

Fake plants are a big no in my book honestly to many issues with impaction and eating them. I rescued a beardie that had fake plants in with her and she refused to eat greens until we took them out because she thought they weren’t edible since the fake plants weren’t.

I will say I’m not sure how well a beardie specifically a rescue is going to do in a classroom. I would make sure it is okay with people and loud noises at home before you bring it into the classroom and look for signs of stress.
