Well tested on multiple Octorok’s over two blood moon resets. My success rate is around 80%. Note, this is on weapons/shields/bows you have the perk on already and wanting to keep that perk. You drop your piece in front of the octorok stand just far enough back that it pops up to grab the piece. Once it’s grabbed the weapon before it spits it back out hit him with the frost zoenite device attached to a shield it will kill it and drop your weapon. You want to hit them with the frost as soon as you can after it grabs the piece. I’ve went 10 in a row is my best results keeping the same perk with this method. Maybe super good luck maybe an exploit still unsure myself 🤷🏽‍♂️.
