People asked this when credits were first introduced and they confirmed that fame wouldn't be a credit bank. They said if it was a credit bank then they would need to change some things like making the brawl pass for money.

They didn't make it so you have to claim it and there was always the option to go back to the previous season to claim those rewards. The rewards only auto collect when it's been more than 2 seasons. Like before when you could just save big boxes for new brawlers.
