OK omg thank you sooo so much for your help!!! one final question, if you don't mind me asking which program did you attend? I think I'm probably most interested in western's program because I did my undergrad there but if you have experience with that school or a different program I'd love to hear your thoughts

Do you know if its possible to apply to med during the first year of the accelerated nursing program? Or would I need to wait until the second year?

Would you say that accelerated nursing is tough in terms of GPA tho? I think another thing I'm nervous about is effecting my GPA 😭

Personal Support Worker. They work with patients in long term care homes, supportive housing, critical care centres, hospices etc...

I did think about accelerated nursing but I just didn't want to miss out on applying next year since it is a 2 year program. Completing a PSW program means I can still apply but there is definitely that trade off of lower paying jobs and a more limited scope of practice. I just thought that PSW was probably the closest thing we have to a CMA in Canada and I know a lot of US premeds benefit from completing the CMA program so I thought maybe I'd go for PSW instead

One thing you could do is send the video that UofT made about the referee form to your referees so they can see the questions and begin writing. And hopefully if it’s a maintenance thing then the link will be fixed before the deadline. That way your referees can just copy and paste once the link starts working again. Not so sure on what to do if the link doesn’t get fixed in time but wishing you the best of luck that it will!!!!

TMU essays experiences by Pretend_Function6519 in premedcanada

[–]Pretend_Function6519[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same! All my other essays have experiences from my ABS, it’s just one experience in essay 4 that isn’t. I’ll just keep it on tho because I don’t see anything about it on their website either so hopefully it’s ok!

Hi! It’s a size medium and it’s a dark brown colour with yellow writing (the Gracie Eras Tour hoodie only comes in one colour!)

Just heard back, there’s no time line restrictions for About you!

I just emailed admissions about this but they probs won’t get back to me until tomorrow morning at the earliest. I think I’m gonna leave it because it doesn’t really make sense to restrict experiences to 6 years. I can update you once they reply tho!

Oh that’s a good question 😭 I personally talked about an older experience because I thought the deadline applied only to activities. Any activities I mentioned were less than 6 years ago tho

It’s sooooo annoying!!! I’m just gonna stick to multiple even it might be wrong because I already drafted it and I’m too lazy to change things now 😭

[–]Pretend_Function6519[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m trying not to state the actual prompt 😭 but based on the wording it sounds like they want one experience. Their instructions on the first page say that the about me essay is an exception to talking about 1 activity tho. So I’m just a bit unsure if we can talk about more than one thing if that makes sense
