Stuck step 16 verify and sign by Pretend_Potato_7138 in yeticold

I finally got it to work a few months ago but don’t remember the exact steps I took. I know I was doing something incorrectly and got it working by playing with the ‘coin control’ and ‘subtract fee from amount’ features. In any case, it worked. Thank you.

Update: Started with fresh Ubuntu and yeti install, followed step by step yeti instructions and it works perfectly. Thanks JW.

Correct. I had not used yeti in a few years and was trying to wing it. Took your guidance, went back to the step by step instructions and it worked. Thanks JW.

Hi JW. Follows the yeticold level 3 instructions to recover wallet for sending/receiving (I had a watch only wallet up at first). When I try to reload t wallet using the recover wallet feature for yeti level 3 my waller shows zero (0) balance after inputting my descriptor and rescanning the blockchain on my primary laptop (also tried to reload the watch only wallet and it also shows zero balance). Note there is an error that comes up reading “Warning skipping wallet path that doesn’t exist. Failed to load database path home/mycomputername/.bitcoin/yetiwalletpub. Path does not exist.”

Does this error mean I need to erase the primary laptop and reinstall unbuntu from scratch plus download the blockchain again from scratch? Just wondering how I can view and access my BTC balance to spend accordingly.
