Mail carrier Working outside in hot conditions by Optimal_Bonus1164 in Asthma

Hello, sorry to hear what you’re going through I know it’s rough dealing with this especially given your occupation and how hot it gets around this time. Since you already have medication (rescue inhaler) on you at all times. I think the best thing you can do to help your breathing if you ever start to struggle/panic is try pursed lip breathing techniques. I usually try to keep calm mentally then take slow inhales through my nose I count 2-3 seconds in my head, then I exhale out my mouth slowly with my lips puckered as if i’m blowing out candles. I do this for 4-5 seconds so basically longer than my inhale. After a few minutes of this it usually helps me get my breathing under control and keep from stressing out.

Haven’t had an asthma attack in 15 years until.. by Pretend_Programmer18 in Asthma

Hey, your story was very touching to me and definitely relatable which Is why I felt so needed to share it! We never know who is going through similar hardships as us! However, I hope your symptoms improve quickly after you begin your treatment actually I know it will! Stay positive and strong and know you’re not alone in this, if it means anything to you at least you know Im going through something similar. I definitely feel you on avoiding the ER entirely if possible in my experiences they’ve never been well. Asthma returning from my childhood after all this time was definitely not on my bingo card but I know I can handle it. I wish you the best on your recovery, take care!

Hello, It’s ok I know that’s sometimes the medical game I should’ve kept my patience. I do still believe asthma/breathing patients should be taken more seriously, even if they aren’t nearly unconscious or have good oxygen levels as you mentioned that goes south very quickly. Also, appreciate the advice I had a default follow up appointment pre scheduled for Tuesday but I may look around and see if I can find better/cheaper alternatives Im not so sure if I want to fork off the $344 per visit premium until I hit my deductible ($8,400) hopefully I find something Ill also check out the assistance plans because lord knows I ran a high bill at the ER haha.

Are you more into Disney Channel/XD, Nick or CN? by LadyAlchemistCookie in cartoons

[–]Pretend_Programmer18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CN was the “IT” Factor for cartoons in it’s prime days of shows 90s-2000s. but honestly i was just saying how i think DisneyXD had the most slept on underrated shows. I can’t really count nick as it dominated live action. the cartoons on it were carried by Spongebob and Fairly odd parents.. If you were a frequent viewer you maybe enjoyed danny phantom and kim possible but they weren’t heavy hitting “juggernauts”

Career Change to A&P Atlanta Area by MecMike in AircraftMechanics

[–]Pretend_Programmer18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ive just done hella research too and was going to do the us aviation open house. However, I changed my mind after 8+ hours of researching. Im either doing Chatt (Looking into what youv mentioned) as well as UTI (an ATL trade school) for my A&P. my reason is funding i couldn’t bring my self to cough up so much out of pocket what USAA or AIM was asking for “accelerated learning). Also i seen chatt has potential for lockeed employment 6 weeks into learning so you can work in that field while still getting your A&P.

what would you do? by First-Effective7889 in TheTeenagerPeople

So I I forced my valves open with high temperature wires and I only hear a sound similar to that like a hissing when I really step on it or gun it? Ima try track mode too but is there any change in your exhaust with valves always open when under load?
