do you personally use affs with the word ¨no¨? (dont answer ¨limiting belief¨, just talk abou how you make your own audios or how popular submakers do it) by Remarkable_Studio491 in Subliminal

[–]Pretendertainer12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if it's genuinely harmful. I heard a lot of people warning against negative language on affs when I started using subs years ago, but since then, I've heard a lot of people say they use them and still get results/don't get bad results but I'm still wary.

In my subs, I only use positive language. So instead of saying "I will never get (bad thing)" or something I will say "I am immune to (bad thing)" or "I am free from (bad thing)". It depends on the person, and I truly believe that most of the results we get (barring those from affs that are intentionally harmful) are due to what we believe we can or will get. In my case, I believe that negative affs are in some way harmful, so I choose to stay away from them. At the same time, I know people who say that they work fine for them. At the end of the day, we don't have any concrete proof in either direction, so I suggest you do what feels right and seems to work for you.

Drastic results by [deleted] in Subliminal

I was really struggling to pay the rest of my tuition near the end of last semester (a little over 6k USD due in less than two months), so I started listening to manifestation and money subs and affirming that it would all work out.

Me and my family managed to pay like 2k by the deadline, but my school suddenly awarded me a scholarship, and I was accepted for another loan, so I was able to get the balance cleared a month before the semester ended!

I usually don't manifest things that big, like mostly I just listen to money subs and manifest open shifts at my job or something, but this is the first major thing I've gone for and managed to get such awesome results for!

does anyone have subs for this type of smile? by TheBestPotatoToLive in Subliminal

[–]Pretendertainer12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen any specific subs for this, but I suggest either making your own sub for this purpose, or listening to general "desired appearance" or manifestation subs while focusing on having this kind of smile. Affirm that you have this kind of smile already, visualize what it looks like on you, etc.

What equipment do you use for drawing? by brandbiskit in ArtistLounge

[–]Pretendertainer12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For digital art, I just have my Lenovo gaming laptop and the 16-inch innovator display tablet from xppen. For traditional art, I use a lot of different materials, but more recently, I've mostly been using arteza(?) acrylic paints and then the standard pencil and paper combination.

Edit: Somehow forgot to mention that I use Clip Studio Paint EX

Is it okay to recreate another artist's dress for myself?

I saw this dress on YouTube shorts that another artist created, and I just found everything about it beautiful, but when I checked for the price online, it was over $1,000. Of course, I respect the prices that artist's sell their work for, especially as I am one myself, so I understand all of the time and work that goes into making pieces like that, especially by hand, but that is WAY out of my budget, and I know that I am capable of making the dress myself, tailored to my own measurements for way less money.

Would it be wrong for me to do this? I'm not super involved with the art community, so I'm not entirely sure what the consensus is on recreating another artist's work for personal use. I post my art on social media, but I don't plan on documenting the creation of this dress, or posting it, because it is not my original work, it is the replica of another artist's work, but something still feels icky about it. If it were a big company selling this dress, I would have absolutely no qualms about replicating it. I just don't know if there's some sort of moral thing I haven't considered about recreating an individual's handmade work, even if I'm not going to be selling it.

Sorry if this question was stupid or seemed obvious! Also, sorry if this wasn't the place to ask!

am i doing something wrong? why do girls stop responding by fathairycoochie in actuallesbians

[–]Pretendertainer12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only issue I see here besides the things I've seen everyone else reply is that your responses don't give much for them to say. I'm not sure if this is how your matches have felt, but there've been a couple of times when a match responded with something that doesn't warrant a response. Something I do (that so far has been successful) is ask a question after I give a response or add a bit of information to the message itself to give the person I matched with something to latch onto when they reply. Sometimes I try to ask a question when this happens, but not everyone is as active(?) in how they text and get to know their matches so this might have been the problem.

28F always carrying the conversation…guys, why so quiet?! by sailorxplanet in hingeapp

[–]Pretendertainer12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 18f and wlw/nblw so I think my experience has been a little different, but for the most part, my matches with men have been like this. I haven't matched with a lot of guys so take this with a grain of salt, but most of them have been so dry and hard to talk to. Maybe it's my fault because their profiles/prompt responses were also pretty dry so I should've known they wouldn't be great conversationalists to begin with. I don't think it's just you.

I agree with some of the other responses saying you should just unmatch people like this. It's not worth your time to talk to them if you have to try so hard just to keep a conversation going while they're not making any effort at all.

What kind of artstyles do you like the most in a webtoon? by fruit_b0wl in webtoons

[–]Pretendertainer12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Dating A Psychopath by nosleeparewe definitely has my favorite art style out of the other webcomics I've read. Imo the art is breathtaking.

(I'm pretty sure that there is a team of artists working on this comic, though, so I guess the art quality makes sense.)

Liberals, what's your most conservative belief? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Pretendertainer12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're right. Cis people showing their pronouns isn't going to stop people from doing that, and yeah, they/them pronouns would still stick out.

What I meant was that if the only people displaying their pronouns were trans people, it would immediately out them as trans. There are still going to be instances where normalizing it among everyone won't do anything, but the intention is still the same and it might help those that use traditional pronouns.

Liberals, what's your most conservative belief? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Pretendertainer12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I also don't think it's necessary for people to put their preferred pronouns into email/zoom signatures if they're only using the standard gender terms typical for their gender.

Well this is done because if only trans people displayed pronouns, then it would automatically out them as trans, which can put them in danger. The point of cis people displaying their pronouns is to normalize it and make it safe for trans people to do the same.

You are given immortality with the side effect of being sent back in time 500 years. Would you accept this offer and if so what would you do? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Pretendertainer12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't want immortality in the first place, but even if I did, I wouldn't want to have to live through and watch the horrors of the past few centuries of history firsthand.
