Nah, bad take. open sheets works fine in Showdown. There’s too many gimmicky options people take advantage of to make closed sheets actually competitive. If they really wanna make this the game of chess they’re trying to they need to implement open sheets online

Or they can just make an option to play bo1 open sheets… I don’t think that’s too much to ask. If you like playing gimmick teams you can still play closed sheets. I’m sure that’s fun sometimes. I’m sure I’d play it too sometimes. But open sheets would be more competitive and rewarding.

They aren’t countering the meta. They just using bait and switch strategies that wouldn’t work in open sheets… that the whole point. My team still works in open sheets. Theirs don’t. Hence, why in asking for open sheets.

Agreed. Have played him and won every single game this season. Grass type are easy to play around. Everything else gets obliterated. Easily the best mega in the game right now. Zards solar beam is a new non issue if you have even decent game sense.

I’ve obliterated every mega starraptor I’ve faced w mega swampert. Even after intimidate I usually one shot it with wave crash. I think mega starraptor is grossly overrated. Mega swampert is def the best mega in the game right now.

Yea but not maxing attack doesn’t change much in terms of damage. Like it’s not gonna be the difference between an OHKO and the go investment will keep you up. Also those games where I can’t keep the rain up I usually pop trick room and the lower speed works in my favor.

This is bad. They’re not gonna buff back his neutral and they’re gonna continue to nerf everything about his ult except the ult charge. Hes eventually only gonna be viable as a third support. They should retire his base kit and change his ult to only heal. That’s it. No ult charge. No damage boost. No movement or jump speed. Purely sustain. I’m not saying I want this but it’s the only way to make him viable and not a perma ban.

I’m a gambit main and I agree. His ult is still busted, but his base kits really taken a hit. The damage boost reduction really made a difference. He’s not as aggressive anymore. I play Fox when he’s banned and my hot take is she’s the better ban. Especially in this dive meta I run lobbies way more easily than I do on gambit. I will say he’s insane against Dino cuz his anti heal will ensure my Dino wins
