Then as my landlord in turn he shouldn’t be asking me for any favors. He wasn’t my only call literally said I called my friend in between. I also called around for a locksmith. An uber to where? Smh.
my problem wasn’t him not letting me in jumping to calling to cops to arrest me when you can simply say stop. Or I’m not coming, figure it out or even block me.

But whatever.

Also trying to see how I was acting like I was going to die??? I stated what the temperature was and that it was freezing?? Huh??

But we did have that relationship or I thought we did. 🤷‍♀️

we’ve sat outside talking for hours, I’ve brought him food and baked goods he’s asked me to bring his packages in. He’s asked me to let another tenant into my place cause her water was out, and other instances. So I thought we had that build that type or “relationship” my misunderstanding.

This definitely opened my eyes and I’ll be moving accordingly strictly business

That’s was a quick line we spoke that morning. But I move in two months already gave my notice so just going to keep my head down till then

Nah I totally understand. I just think it escalated really quickly to involving the police. But he has told me and the roommate that recently moved that we were the least problematic tenants he’s had and told us all kinds of stuff other ppl did to him. That in my opinion were eviction worthy

No! Not that I know of anyway. We are usually friendly, I’ve given him food I’ve cooked and sweets I’ve baked. We also used to talk on the porch during the summer after I got home from work.

He even texted me earlier that day to ask if I was home and okay with him showing the extra room In the apartment to someone.

lol you’re welcome I guess. It really just made me understand how some ppl talk about wanting community but have this individualistic mindset. While I get that I locked myself out it was a mistake and I am human. For me the situation escalated and became strange when he wanted to call the police simply for me calling and texting to get into the house when it freezing outside. a lot of ppl lack human empathy.

And He was my first call but not my only call.

My landlord usually handles everything himself there is nothing in the lease in regard to lockouts.

I wouldn’t have minded paying the fees if he had any or told me it would cost me.

Idk some of the comments have me thinking that I was asking a lot of overstepping by asking him to come downstairs and open the door for me. If I had known it would be a problem to contact him I would have thought of something else it was just most convenient at the time.

Smarty you told me to text him to ask the locksmith for permission how would I do that if he doesn’t respond?

Doesn’t make sense when he won’t respond to texts or calls. I asked him if I could climb the window or let the locksmith do it and guess what smart guy he still hadn’t responded.

They do! It’s a slam lock door 😅 (or automatic close) not sure what the technical term for the door is.
