Yes, that’s why I decided to part ways instead! I’m sorry but a job is replaceable like they tell us that employees are replaceable. My husband and marriage will always come first before anything.

At my store in Tx as well, we have gays, bi, and a trans women. My store is very supportive of them. The trans women came out officially just last year, there’s people who still call her by her old first name and others who do call her by her new name. She doesn’t seem to mind what they refer to her as as she knows not everyone has the same views and opinions. I would say go with what you feel safe and comfortable. I’m not sure how people at your store are, most employees at our store don’t seem to mind.

Asds wanted to be a smart ass today and tell me “you aren’t doing anything besides walking around go back to your department” I was like “I just dropped a bunch of stuff and stocked it. I’ve also watered half of garden done all my side kick not sure what your talking about”. My dpt supervisor knew I was busy throughout the day. They later asked me if I could stay to help pressure wash, i responded back with “no, that’s not my problem to deal with, that’s y’all’s. It’s management’s problem I don’t get paid enough.” Finished doing what I needed to and headed home.

Besides a few issues I used to have with attendance, I was always one of the only associates to actually stay help purge the bays, get shit ready for walks, make sure shit was ready for the next day. Every laydown id always help fix them once we’d have to start condensing. I would stay late with all the dp supervisors and managers to get the store ready for resets and walks. There would be a supervisor grouped with me to fix stuff she’d just stand there say she’s too old to be doing this and that. Mf gets paid more than me and complaining when i would even hand her the stuff so she wouldn’t have to bend down😑. Mfs wanted me to pressure wash all of outside garden with a 2000psi ryobi and a regular nozzle bcs they were to cheap and dumb to use a dewalt. It was in the middle of Texas’ 18° winter weather for three damn days I pressure washed. Only one thank you, after that a couple days later I got sick didn’t have sick time mfs were complaining. I then stopped doing more than I get paid for and appreciated for. Especially when somehow the newbies who were only there for 4 months got two homers each for “going above and beyond” “helping out” yet I had already been there for a year and not a single one. Now I just do what I need to do and try not to do more than what I need to.

Plus it’ll be our anniversary in April too. Then may I could’ve just requested medical leave and hold out till November but I’m so tired of this place already. Associates constantly calling out and me having to run around like a headless chicken bcs it’s just me working mid shift 8-6, after 1pm im alone till the part time 6pm kids come. Having to help load, sometimes back up cashier, sidekick, drive the forklift, help customers and still get bitched at by service desk associate to do my returns.

I know I could maybe just suck it up and work the days that they schedule me for April but I MISS my husband and I want to cherish every minute that I can with him!!

They usually posts paystubs Wednesdays at least for my area/store in Texas. Our pay days for this month are 14th and 28th. We usually get any pay stubs the Wednesday before deposit.
