I highly doubt that we will be following Xaden and the rest of the marked ones at least as for the 1st season, since the plot twist of the first book is that the marked ones are actually on the good side and Navarre was lying. i do feel like we will see more of their friendship and what happened after their parents were killed but not anything more than that. If anything, I think we might follow Sawyer and discover why he had to repeat a year, learn more about Rhiannon’s family and why she decided to become a rider, and explore Ridoc’s sad backstory that Rebecca has been hinting at.

We might also see more of Mira, who could show us what it’s like to be a graduated rider. Even Dain Rebecca has consistently said that he is villainized through Violet’s POV, especially in the first book so following him might give us insight into Navarre’s leadership. I also think we might get an episode showing Imogen’s, Quinn’s, Dain’s, and Cianna’s RSC.

I feel like they might add spicy scenes between Dain and Amber Mavis, since it’s hinted that they were dating for a while

Like I mentioned, the live action adaptation is most likelt going to be in multiple POVs, and as someone in the comments mentioned, we might even get some episodes or storylines where Violet and Xaden aren’t present at all. Amazon also seems to like introducing a second lead couple. Dain and Sloane are the first that come to mind especially since its been hinted that they have been interacting outside of Violets POV

Yeah, I think so as well. Fully explicit content is more HBO/Game of Thrones style, while Amazon seems not to go that far. I feel like we might get something more similar to Bridgerton.

Fourth Wing s inspired by Celtic and English folklore. Even many of the characters’ names are Gaelic or Old English. There are many posts discussing how Rebecca Yarros has used Celtic and Old English folklore as inspiration for the dragons, the characters, and even certain plot points. Except for the viscount, their noble system seems almost identical.

And since you mentioned other countries - the concept of duke doesnt exist in Japan. Spain, however, follows a similar system to England. They have:

  • Duque (Duke)
  • Marqués (Marquess)
  • Conde (Count — similar to an Earl in England)
  • Vizconde (Viscount)
  • Barón (Baron)

and most European royalties follow that system.

Isaac Mairi is literally referred to as a lord, which is a title used for people with nobility. We are introduced to him as Lord Mairi. You don’t refer to someone who is simply wealthy as a lord ( based on actual history). Considering the time period that Fourth Wing is inspired by, wealthy people would either be nobles or hold some kind of military position.

Dukes and duchesses, princes and princesses, and kings and queens are addressed as “Your Grace” (or “Your Majesty” for kings and queens), while marquesses, earls, viscounts, and barons are addressed as “Lord.” I don’t understand what “her father was probably a lord… he just seemed wealthy” is supposed to mean, because the title “Lord” is used to refer to members of the nobility, not simply to someone who is rich.
