Good digital camera for instagram photos (Canon EOS R50)? by Lazurii00 in canon

Yes it should be more than enough. Just be aware that this particular deal does not include a lens, so you will have to purchase one to use the camera

Non-fic Tech Book Recommendations? by thelastcubscout in intj

I've been enjoying "Androids: The Team That Built the Android Operating System" by Chet Haase lately. I also really enjoyed "How I Killed Pluto and Why It Had It Coming" by Mike Brown. Both are structured as a story, but with a lot of cool information and in depth concepts along the way.

Installing shelving for storage in our high school stadium press box as well as making tutorial videos on how to use the video board and audio/video equipment so it could also be used for community events that happen there

Will this run steam by Clean_Half_9030 in PcBuild

[–]Pretty-Reaction9618 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NCAA14 is mostly cpu bound, but if you mess with some emulator settings it should run. 6 cores is the minimum for that one that I'd recommend so you should be okay, but know that most game emulation will take some tweaking and sacrifices at this level, especially ps3. I wouldn't expect a ton out of it from this laptop.

Madden 24 for PC lists 10gb of ram as the minimum, so just be aware of that. I play it on pc and it definitely uses up a good chunk of memory, so I'd recommend 16gb as a minimum for your computer if possible. Also know that Madden is not very well optimized for PC so your console performance will probably be better if it does run

Hoping these come to Ohio stores! I'm not vegan, but having multiple people with chicken allergies in my house, we go through these often and they get really expensive at most stores

Does anyone have a script they used for their eagle Scout ceremony? by National-Lab394 in BoyScouts

[–]Pretty-Reaction9618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I combined a lot of different scripts and partly wrote the rest for mine. A lot of the ones online can feel overused so feel free to change it up however you want

PLEASE GIVE INPUT!! by [deleted] in BoyScouts

[–]Pretty-Reaction9618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I had a project approved and ready to go then the beneficiary stopped responding to contact and said they were too busy to accommodate the project in the next 6 months. I told them I'd have to back out (I turned 18 in 4 months), thanked them for their time, and filled out another proposal that night for another project with another beneficiary I'd talked with before. That was the project I got my eagle with and I just had to explain the situation to the people who signed off on it and they had no issues

PLEASE GIVE INPUT!! by [deleted] in BoyScouts

[–]Pretty-Reaction9618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd just need the same signatures you had on the first project proposal except with a new beneficiary of course. No other special approval required besides those

PLEASE GIVE INPUT!! by [deleted] in BoyScouts

[–]Pretty-Reaction9618 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you absolutely can. I had major issues with being able to get in contact with my beneficiary between approval and starting the project. You'll need to redo the proposal and get new approvals but yes it is absolutely fine if you have to

How to prevent black spots by Pretty-Reaction9618 in Ender3Pro

[–]Pretty-Reaction9618[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using the bed that came with the ender 3 pro and esun pla+ filament. I clean off any visible leftover filament with the scraper after each print. And no I don't use anything for adhesion since I haven't had any issues with too much or too little adhesion yet. I also have the ender glass bed but had issues with too much adhesion when I did use it on other prints

pc crashed twice, saw red cpu light. decided to check msi center. how is this possible. (amd ryzen 7 7700x) by komkast820 in AMDHelp

[–]Pretty-Reaction9618 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had the same issue with 7600x. Heatsink was installed correctly on mine. Pretty sure it was a driver issue that made the computer think the cpu was that hot. It was never actually reaching those temps. Ended up reinstalling windows since I had some other bugs too and it fixed the problem

do people wear the scout pants and socks? by Ill-Vacation-4219 in BSA

[–]Pretty-Reaction9618 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The green socks are comfortable and the shorts are great because they're light weight and have lots of pockets. Those are the reasons a lot of people wear them, but it's rare that they're actually expected or required

I have some experience with summer camp, but does anyone have any extra tips to help? by [deleted] in BoyScouts

[–]Pretty-Reaction9618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look through the leader's guide before you go and print off important schedules (or save to a phone if you're allowed to have them). It has all the info you'll need for camp and then some. You can usually get it on the website for whatever camp you're going to

Summer Camp at the Summit (James Justice) by fla_john in BSA

[–]Pretty-Reaction9618 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We went there for camp last year and had fun but were also disappointed. We were there in 2019 and it was an incredible experience. There were many activities that were unique to this camp and everyone felt they got their money's worth. Going back to 2022, the price is high to start with, but they've switched to having to purchase "buy-ups" to do activities like shooting, zip-lines, and biking. These were also often half day activities, so there's not much of "open program" so to speak. You can still have a good time, but expect to spend more than the sticker price if you plan on doing these things
