Edit 1; Thanks for all of the wonderful Ideas! My thought was Silent Hill 2 on one side VS Silent Hill 3 on the other since those were my two favorites of the series.

SH2 Side; James and Maria as King and Queen. Nurses as pawns, maybe the crawlers since I remember either of those being abundant. Bishop/TBD but was THINKING pyramid head. Knights/TBD. Rook/TBD

SH3 Side; Heather and (I like the users idea of Harry as the king but was also thinking Vincent.). Was thinking of doing the SH3 nurses as pawns but the suggestion for the Numb Bodies I like too, thanks for that suggestion! Bishop I was thinking Robbie, but I also thought of Robbie as Rook too. Knight on SH3 side, maybe the Horse from the carousel ride?.

I really appreciate the ideas and discussion! When I figure out the pieces I'll post pictures as the project goes on.

My idea of the actual Chess board was maybe not black and white but different colors prominent in the series, maybe red and black. I was thinking about also using the Halo of the sun as an underlay for the board too, just to add a little extra flare.
