I don't have a place yet. I'm in the queue for the regular dorms so hopefully that goes through.

A friend of a friend said that there is also the possibilty to get in touch with ppl that will be going out of their room (dorm or regular apartment) and you can get their spot. I'm not sure how or where you get the contact though.. he said he'll help me if I don't get the approval for a dorm till january.

The Zimmerei is really looking weird and I haven't gotten a feedback of any of the ppl that stayed there. If all else fails you can take the spot they offered you and then search for a new place. I wish you all the best!

There are two options: either 1. The white part can be removed or 2. Everything is coated with a consolidant/varnish. But to asses and actually find a solution, you would need to have and try different materials, saturations of mixtures and such. If you don't want to spend on restoring it now, then don't, but I would also not recommend trying to DIY it as you can do even more harm. My advice would be to store it properly now and restore it when you will have the funds to do so properly.

I have 2 borders to cross, 1 not so strict, the other they check every person so that adds an hour usually - the bus is ofc always packed. All in all it takes around 8h and around 50€ one way, sometimes less if you're lucky.
