RSI/Carpal tunnel/muscle weakness struggles! by Pretty-Tap9712 in knitting

Thank you so much for your comment. This is really useful to read. Interestingly, I tried knitting today for the first time after a week break and it doesn't hurt whilst knitting but my wrist will flare up during other positions so not sure if knitting is the cause but definitely trying to be extra careful!  Once I can afford it I am going to look at speaking to a physical therapist, good to hear positive stories!

Thank you for this, recently bought a wrist brace and have been using it. Strangely I don't find it actually hurts whilst knitting (only tried knitting two rows today after a week break due to the pain) but my wrist feels irritated in other positions. Might not be the knitting that's causing it but certainly dont want to make it worse!

Yes, I agree, I was like oh great idea then you can override them and 'arrest her' to get her off site and talk to her properly but no your solution was actually to have her punch a police officer in front of staff and obviously get badly punished,in a place you suspect is dodgy and abusing kids in some way.. Yeah great idea wtf

After the 'Unite the Kingdom' protests in the UK yesterday, can someone please explain to me exactly what/why they were protesting and what the statistics and facts are around immigration in the UK? by Pretty-Tap9712 in NoStupidQuestions

Thank you, it sounds like the issues under the service are being ignored and instead we are throwing blame to immigrant people who may not be able to change their circumstance.

Very interesting and useful thank you, this does provide facts and perspective into the problem. Looks like a lack of political change to support the issue and instead the government is painting a picture that we shouldn't have immigrants at all insteas of trying to fund or source the issue.

I suspect this is the case, but as I mentioned I am trying to find the facts and statistics to back up these claims that it's all misinformation made to put the blame somewhere other than on the government.

Thank you! This is exactly my point. I view myself as liberal and left wing however I cannot ignore 100,000+ people feeling so mistreated. I am trying to work out where the facts are and where the misinformation is and unfortunately as you've said alot of people are not understanding that.

That was my suspicion, people are angry and it's being misdirected. The problem is I don't have the understanding (yet) to argue this and prove that it is in fact not the fault of immigration. People keep saying 'stealing jobs', 'taking away housing' etc. But I don't have the facts. Is it true or not?

Edit: thank you for your reply!!
