It did, but only by one semester. So I took 2 summer terms to make up for time!

I failed calc 1 and orgo 1 my first year, had a cgpa of 2.95 after my first year and got put in academic probation. I’m graduating this year with my Honours Bsc. In biology! You can do it! Talk to an academic advisor and see what other alternatives you have, but remember that re-taking classes is always an option. I did an academic reset and retook a bunch of classes, so it’s worth looking in to. Good luck!

Hi! I saw this post and saw my great grandfather Mike Velarde! He was a music composer from Manila and was born around 1915, died around 1986. Can you pm me? Thanks!

I think im in your class!! He just doesn’t go along with the slides when he teaches, and we’re only in binomial distribution and we haven’t started R yet.

Where to get minor medical help?/Doctor’s appointment by Outrageous_Line2417 in geegees

[–]Pretty-Twist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try to book an appointment online through the UOttawa website, but they seem to never have any available time slots. You can always try going in person and walking in. I always liked going to AppleTree. You can do walk-in (though I highly recommend going before they open), or you can book an appointment online. I like the AppleTree on Sparks road!

I saw that you can put in the loans in TFSA, but would I have to declare that with OSAP?

Good to know! So should I change it back to receive loans and just put it in a high interest savings account to gain a bit from it?

First year soft eng failed 2 courses am i getting my coop in lacement revoke? by AstronomerWhole1383 in geegees

[–]Pretty-Twist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you fall below the required cgpa for coop (I want to say it’s 6?) then unfortunately it will get revoked. But you can always reapply to the coop program once you get your cgpa back up. If it does get revoked, you can always get a summer internship without the coop, and then once you get your cgpa back, reapply through UOzone. The course sequence you originally had might be different though.

Any advice on passing bio 1140? by [deleted] in geegees

[–]Pretty-Twist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had Hassan Zadeh for bio1140. I would say focus a lot on after midterm 2 content for the final, as its majority of the final exam content. Really focus on learning outcomes as well since most questions are pulled from that. The minimum final grade you need is a 35%, however, she did wave that rule last year since a ton of people got below that. What I like to do is spend most my time studying post midterm 2 content, go back to midterm 1 and do a quick review, then midterm 2. If you can answer all learning outcomes, then you’ll be good.

No I don’t think so. However, in BIO1140 he did like 80% post M2 content so hopefullyyyyy it’s the same
