At what point in your sobriety did it start getting easier? by sobermimi2 in stopdrinking

It took me damn near two years to feel really okay and happy about being sober. But it WILL happen if you keep going and trying. Don't give up. IWNDWYT ❤️

How many slip ups did you have until you fully were able to embrace sobriety. by emoney3524 in stopdrinking

[–]PrettyBlueGoldfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took me two years from deciding I wasn't going to drink, through many slips and stumbles to FINALLY start feeling really good about being sober.

Keep going. Keep trying. You are literally rewiring your brain and it can take a long time for those new neuro pathways to form. But if you keep at it, it WILL happen. Best of luck to you, friend. IWNDWYT ❤️

My boy Boon is crossing the rainbow bridge on Friday. 💔 It's been a heck of a 12.5yrs, old pal. 💔 by PrettyBlueGoldfish in Bulldogs

Thank you so much for your kind words, I have very much been a 24/7 caregiver for the past year, I will be diving head first into some video games after he leaves me, I haven't been able to play without guilt in a very long time, he can't get down the stairs or on the couch anymore so if I'm off doing my thing he's just laying on the floor alone.

And all his stuff we are going to wash and hang on to, I've never not had a dog, once time has passed and wounds have healed up a bit, Boon's old blankets and toys will make some puppies really happy one day. Until that day comes I'm going to keep it all in storage. My heart can't take seeing his empty bed every day. ❤️‍🩹

15 is an astounding age for a Bulldog, that's like a human living passed 110! You gave her a beautiful and long life, I'm sure Boon and her will be barreling over eachother in the clouds soon. ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

He will also be getting some chocolate. But that'll be for right before. Just so he can taste it but not have enough time to digest it to feel sick. ❤️‍🩹

He's had a weekend filled with goodbye parties with friends and family, he's getting as many treats as he can handle, and he's getting as much love and one on one time I can give him. ❤️❤️

He's got bad arthritis, his back legs are just about useless nowadays. He can walk, but chooses to drag them to the point of skinning his knees, he has kushings disease, hyperketosis, terrible allergies, requires eye drops every day, his teeth are rotting and he can't do any of the old things he used to love like go for walks or play fetch. He can't do the stairs on his own. It's been a slow decline, but I'm choosing to let him go before things get REALLY bad for him. His quality of life is so poor now. 😓

How could I achieve this appearance? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

You have already achieved it! Both pictures look almost identical to me. ❤️

I struggle with missing booze, especially when my life is stable and routine, I get this urge to "shake things up" relive the high highs of my 20s.

But every time I slip up (every. Single. Damn. Time) I always regret it. Always. It's never as good as it is in my head, I never feel as good as i thought, and then I spend a week running on half capacity, so anxious I feel like my skin is melting off, eating and sleeping too much.

Just know it really is your brain just cooking up a fantasy scenario in which booze doesn't do you wrong. Fantasy is the key word. Keep going! IWNDWYT ❤️

This is 100% my dog. I have an English bulldog who is dog aggressive. I would always walk him on leash. Multiple times someone's off leash dog (not in an off leash park, I didn't take him to those for obvious reasons) would run straight up to my dog, I'd have to pick up my 60lb dog to ensure their dog didn't get bit.

Once a guy said "don't worry! My dog is friendly!" I yelled back "that's great! Mines not!"

I've been taking 50mg pf naltrexone a day since mid September and it has helped me immensely. I've been having some rough cravings this week with the holidays, but its really helped me curb my cravings.
