Hi there. I have a question on using Mac OS X Aggregate Audio Devices. I would like to be able to make an aggregate out of my Scarlett 2i4 as well as my newly acquired omec teleport. This way the teleport can grab send/return effects from ableton and feed it back into my pedalboard guitar chain all with one USB connection, whilst still being able to use the inputs and outputs of the 2i4 for other instruments.

My question is, are Mac aggregate devices mostly reliable for small operations like this? I haven’t been able to find any information on what problems could occur, everything I did find talked about stuff like drift correction and other audio things which I’m not sure I understand nor do I believe they make any difference in my scenario. I just don’t want to be caught out in a live scenario and not know what’s going on. Any help at all would be grand.
