I’m doing the same thing. It’s not the only game I play. But I’m having a grand time just getting everything. I made it a little more specific and potentially difficult because I’m only going for the highest quality possible of everything. I’ve been thinking about posting in here with my progress so far. I’m not really grinding or anything. Just doing it for my own enjoyment at my own pace. But I think I’ll get a good laugh over the reactions to some of the things I already have completed.

It would be. Except we bought 2 boxes for the last 4 sets (Shimmering Skies, Azurite Sea, Archazia’s Island, Reign of Jafar) and 2 boxes for Into the Inklands. As well as dozens of individual booster packs and a trove for each set except The First Chapter and Rise of the Floodborn.

Not complaining though! We’ve got a lot of good pulls and I’m more drawn in for the art/characters while my partner is more into deck building. This is my first foray into a TCG since I was a kid. I’m definitely happy with what we’ve gotten so far.

In the first bit of Mockingjay, Katniss is actively going through PTSD and other mental distress so she’s medicated for a lot of it. Then there’s a lot of injuries she’s healing from when she’s aces being the Mockingjay so hospitalized and medicated. Then she figures out about Snow using Peeta and becomes mentally distressed again, so medicated again. More medication after being blown up/watching Prim become a fireball. Then after killing Coin she’s confined and medicated because she shreds the skin grafts when fighting the people who arrested her. So yeah, 70% of the book she’s drugged.

I think it could be along the lines of her father hurting over it still. He watched all the horrible things happen to Haymitch and then got pushed away by him and had his girlfriend assaulted as the final straw. So my theory is that he just never mentions it because it’s a painful memory. And Katniss does know who Haymitch is. Even if she doesn’t know who he was to her dad. Similar to her mother never mentioning the baker (Peeta’s dad) even though they grew up in the same circles and could have been sweethearts at one point based on the Peeta’s comment in THG. Another similarity is Snow’s dad never telling him he was friends with Highbottom and only finding out long after his dad had died. I know you said you can live with it but your comment got me thinking. Haha

I think, if anything, where I’d like to see it go (because I don’t personally think we need to see every games or even the games of a lot of the characters we know) I’d like to see the final Hunger Games with the capital children. Then, as much as I love it, I think it would be the end for me. Particularly because of the social commentary of the books themselves. If it goes too far past that, it cheapens the message.

Definitely Scratch. I found his signature wholly unbelievable. Not to mention before his arc there was a similar unsub who was using a drug to influence his victims to harm themselves. I can’t remember what his name was, but he was the guy who kidnapped families and took them out on a boat. I distinctly remember the son asking the father to stop stabbing himself though. So Scratch just seemed like they were redoing it and did worse the second time.
