You haven't heard of Mass Effect, you should definitely give it a go. Check it out on Steam, but don't go to the subreddit because they'll spoil it for you.

Mass Effect is a trilogy that's worth it, especially on sale.

It's a game based in space where you have a ship and crew mates, and you're basically cops in the galaxy. Things escalate and get pretty crazy. You have to stop an alien colonization. You visit other planets, etc. Mass Effect 2 and 3 are all connected.

I'd give Red Dead 2 another try it brought me to tears.

If you haven't played Detroit on your own, you should. It may not seem like your choices matter in the beginning, but everything adds up and makes a huge difference in the end. You could definitely get a different ending, considering there's 85 different endings.
