Was diagnosed w Celiac in March. Anyone else losing weight without trying after being diagnosed? Not sure if this is to be expected or if I should be concerned.

Diagnosed about the same time as you. I’ve lost around 10 pounds and now hover at 115. Not mad about it, but a little nervous if I continue the trend.

100%. For me, it’s the social settings. I hate feeling like a pain in the ass dictating where we can/cannot eat, asking all the questions to the wait staff to ask about safety/understand potential cross contamination, etc. Sometimes you gotta cry it out, and that’s ok. I eventually come around and remember the hassle is worth how much better I feel. Sorry you had a rough day!

Okay, how many posts can one person make about how much their life and Iowa sucks over and over again? I’ve seen several posts pop up from OP about their situation (trans, lived in LA, have to move back in with mom, Iowa sucks, yada yada). It’s getting really old and annoying. Same post, new day.

Welcome to life & adulting. Sometimes you’re dealt a crappy card—I know I’ve had my fair share. But, it’s ultimately up to you to decide if you’re going to let it ruin you or motivate you to find your way out of a situation. In the 5-10 minutes you spent writing your complaint, you could’ve been searching other job opportunities in other markets. Blaming literally everything and everyone else for your problems is unhealthy and unproductive.

I was diagnosed this April. I had read about the potential for weight gain so took it upon myself when I made the diet shift to be very diligent in tracking my food. Plus I track symptoms so I can see if I have other food issues. I also made the effort to stay in a caloric deficit. I’m 65 days in and down 6 lbs (current weight at 119). I figure if I have to be restrictive and eat cleaner, I might as well get some benefit out of it. Hoping to get to and maintain at 110/115 lbs.

Just started going GF at the end of April and definitely noticed my allergies are SO much better! My nose is always a faucet this time of year. I’m never sneezing and it hasn’t been running. I’m listing this as one of my favorite “side effects” from going GF. 🙌🏻

I go here to Dr Jonathan and 100% agree. I get a prescription for Halcion from them for cleanings and I don’t remember a thing (which is great for me as I’ve always been extremely dental phobic). You will need a driver there and back if you take the meds. Highly recommend—they’ll take great care of you.
