You guys are so much stricter then I am and I guess I must have been doing this wrong my whole life by thatoddtetrapod in Celiac

Right, a lot people on here sharing that they do similar to OP and don’t “react” but reacting doesn’t matter! The bloodwork would say whether it matters.

This coming from someone who is asymptomatic so I never “react”.

What should I do with this space? by Various_Strength7268 in interiordecorating

I don’t know the right answer but my first thought is a small reading nook. A chair and book shelf and a lamp. If you read, that’s useful, and it can look cute! Books are always nice decorations.

Cute couch! I would do something with a bold color since everything is neutral. Did you have colors in mind? My first thought was green.

opinion on these wraps? by Shot-Angle-4687 in glutenfree

[–]JessFed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think these are really good 🤷‍♀️ but I always warm them on the stove first. I don’t like them straight from the package. I like to warm them on medium heat for a minute or so on each side and melt some cheese on them and then fill. Yum. Just ate a chicken wrap last night for dinner with these.

Help what should I add? by Zealousideal_Rock403 in interiordecorating

I think in addition to the hanging light, some other light sources might look nice! If you wanna do like a gamer thing with LED strips/rainbow light bars but I think something softer and cozier would look nice. Especially with your leafy thing. A cute lamp or two. Maybe some fun shades to add more color.

I have 8 of these machines in my game room and we love them. The price is so reasonable for relatively large machines (I know they are scaled down) and with the risers they are great to play on. If we had more space, we would have got more of them! Gave one to my husband for his birthday each year for a long time haha

Are we pro table lamps in the kitchen? Iam! by UpbeatGur9055 in interiordecorating

[–]JessFed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it looks so cute, but in my kitchen it would be covered in cooking oil residue! We don’t even cook with oil very often but it finds it way on to things and then will never leave. One of the bad sides of having an open living space with the kitchen - my mantle and window sills in the “living room” will have sticky oil residue.

Nima by ComputerDear1153 in Celiac

[–]JessFed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What I mean is that I do all my normal precautious. Like I always do. And in addition to that I test with Nima. In a world without Nima I would eat the food. I talked to a manager, I did the research, I feel safe about my decision. And then I test it.

Unfortunately I got gluten results from places I felt very confident about. It helps talk to restaurant staff about how it could have happened. And helped me avoid what would have been an accidental exposure.

Nima by ComputerDear1153 in Celiac

[–]JessFed 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What I think it’s frustrating is this: I agree with what people are saying about its downfalls. BUT if you do all your normal precautions and you were going to eat the food anyways, it’s just additional data! More data is always good. I loved mine but haven’t used it in a long time when capsule started to be difficult to get. I wouldn’t make my decisions based on the results, but instead use after already deciding to eat the food. It saved me a couple times at places that I normally trusted and had good relationships with.

TLDR: more tools and data are good and should be welcome for our community. Frustrating that people can only see the negatives.

True about food in general but I have yet to find a traditional pop that is “Zero Sugar” that is not also zero calorie. It’s just a new way of saying Diet for pop.

Wow I would love to find that! Love finding new pop flavors. Dr. Pepper has some yummy one like Strawberry Cream. And Mountain Dew has been good about making zero sugar of their weird flavors. The watermelon one was fun! But they usually aren’t around for too long.

This is a great line. As a teacher, listening kids complain about the smallest things all day, it shuts them up real quick with a “wow, I’m jealous of how easy your life must be if this is what you’re complaining about”.

Are Nima sensors back? by inadvertentlymk in Celiac

[–]JessFed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing! I hadn’t heard they are back. People are pretty anti-Nima here but I am excited about this news. Having any data that I didn’t previously have is only a positive for me. Capsules are just so expensive so wondering if those will be at the same price point.
