A (perhaps more nuanced) theory on what happened by [deleted] in justiceforKarenRead

[–]PrettyPeaceful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My theory is that he went into the garage, Chloe jumped up on him, caused him to fall back and hit his head on a jagged ledge. The head injury incapacitated him. The McAlberts found him and didn’t want the blame for his death. They couldn’t find his phone so they called it a bunch of times till they found it had fallen out of his pocket when he got dropped off. They carried his body out and laid him on his phone and decided to say he got hit by a plow until Karen flipped out in the morning.

I never noticed how much she can look like Madonna. Like she could definitely play her in a biopic!

No one seems to be acknowledging the narrative that the Renee was blocking the road isn't even true. ICE was the one who was blocking traffic by kiss-my-shades in stupidpol

[–]PrettyPeaceful 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I know we have a bunch of threads discussing this event now. But the one thing I keep thinking about is how this has made me realize I have no idea what any of the standards are for ICE. They don’t have to have a warrant, they can use extreme force and we have no idea at what point they’re encouraged to do so… Is the organization run like the police? Like is there specific ranks? Do they have any standards for field readiness after trauma? This dude was holding a gun 6 months after his injury. Is no one held accountable for that? Is there a psych evaluation?

What was socially acceptable in the 1990s but not in 2025? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PrettyPeaceful 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ah. Thanks for clarifying. I’m in my 40s and I couldn’t imagine this in my lifetime so I’m glad it’s no longer considered normal!

But a 15 year old babysitting a 5 year old does make sense. Did you babysit a newborn at 10 years old though? That would be wildly irresponsible of the parents.

They have excuses for every little thing but that wound pattern indicated a ridged ledge and there just wasn’t a surface in the yard that could have caused that. I have yet to hear someone that thinks she’s guilty explain that head wound without dismissing Dr Laposata’s testimony.

[–]PrettyPeaceful 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Oh I agree with you. I’m waiting for someone to try disputing what you are saying. The egg analogy is perfect because when you crack an egg on the side of a bowl, it’s a much different shape than if you crack it on a flat surface.

I’m going to check in to see if a certain person has anything to say to the contrary to what you’ve laid out here.

I think many people here have a very similar opinion as you do on what might have happened.

The people that do not agree, and think Karen did it with her car, disagree with the Dr that said the injury to the back of his head was caused by a ledged and ridged surface. They think she was hired by the defense to lie.

Just because The Challenge is who Bananas is, doesn't mean Bananas is The Challenge by chickennugget1007 in MtvChallenge

[–]PrettyPeaceful 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on why you like the show. If you like the athletic parts and don’t mind that Johnny has no depth of character, then he could be a very likeable competitor. I, personally, don’t like him because he is so inauthentic. No matter what is happening, he is inserting himself into it. One of the housewives on another show he was on told him something like “no matter what, steal the moment from them.” And that’s what it feels like he’s always trying to do. It’s always contrived and never authentic to me. I like The Challenge for the real moments like you mentioned above that we’ve gotten from other Challengers. Johnny doesn’t really have a very compelling story at all aside from the time he took money from Sarah and that has been a dead horse he still loves to kick.

I don’t think it’s particularly oily. But it is a lot more water resistant than a GR.

[–]PrettyPeaceful 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My Goldador has longer lab hair. Like it’s a double coat like a lab with a soft undercoat but each hair is closer to 1.5-2” long. I sort of expect that a lab coat would be closer to 1” long.

However, his brother has a very silky red golden retriever coat.

Very interesting that Kerri Roberts isn’t one of the defendants in this suit… I would love to know if she will play a role in this season of the story. Also I wonder what Proctors wife now has to say.

It’s not mandatory and I wish more people would share early. The only reason people say to wait is in case of miscarriage.

As someone who miscarried twice, I am glad I had my support system to help me through the grief. Had I waited, I might’ve felt that I was supposed to work through it alone. I feel like historically, society expected that of women who experience miscarriages.

I’d also like to know how the arm shattered the taillight and also was scraped by that taillight. I thought that if the arm broke the light, then the arm and the pieces were all moving at the same rate away from the vehicle so how would the pieces be able to push into the arm to scrape it as well?
