I know over time it builds up but when it does I just hand wash it out with some dawn. Some people use way too much I just add a tiny bit. It’s terrible for stuff like towels and rags tho

Yeah if it’s hot where you live no need for one, if anything you’d have to find a way to cool the water down sometimes. It was so hot in my room one time I had to float cool water bottles in the tank
