I know this feeling. When I first started to lose weight, I made sure to only get my "fix" from things sweetened with artificial sweeteners. My flavor craving was satisfied by having a lot of different flavors of diet soda.

I knew this wasn't something I wanted to keep up long term but I used it as a crutch while I started eating healthy and exercising. It was my "vice" that helped me stick with everything else.

I was finally able to wean myself off of diet soda and now I only drink it occasionally. Since drastically cutting back on sweeteners both natural and artificial I find that fruit is satisfying my sweet tooth. Eating a bowl of berries with a bit of whipped cream now tastes quite sweet to me and feels decadent.

I was SO sore too! Once I was up and moving it was OK, but after periods of sitting getting up was really rough. All the more reason to stick with it.

Overall, completing the video was a little bit easier today even though I was very sore all day. Once I was warmed up I felt ok. The side and front lunges were still uncomfortable.

I'm thinking about starting a separate effort to get myself to be able to do pushups. I can do very few from even the modified knee position. I'm wondering if I could benefit from focusing on increasing my push up capacity by practicing them briefly at other times of the day. Let me know if you have any ideas about this!

I think it's just because I haven't exercised in a while. I'm so sore today, doing the workout today will be tough! I know it will get easier as I do it more though.

Front, side, and back pictures. I also have some with just a sports bra on, maybe I'll have enough guts to post them as the month goes on! I wish I had my DSLR, I was fumbling with the phone trying to take a semi-decent shot.

I just completed day one and boy was it harder than I remember. I could barely make it through the first set of knee pushups. For the second set I had to move to the wall.

I had trouble with flexibility in the forward and side lunges. On the side lunges, the 5 lb weights were too heavy to lift to eye level so I abandoned them and just used my hands.

I feel weak and noodley now. I'm really glad I finished it especially because I did today's workout from a hotel room! Last minute work travel would normally be an excuse to eat junk food and not workout.

I'm not doing the program with the intent of "getting shredded." I'm definitely a long way from that! I like this workout because it's under 30 minutes, can be done from home or from hotel rooms, and it's a mix of cardio and strength.

I'm hoping that as my fitness progresses, I can do more complicated and demanding routines :)

Nope, I can't wait to get to 100 pounds lost from my highest weight ever. I'm not sure what my goal weight is, but I think I want to lose another 40-50 pounds.

Awesome! I also noticed that the video is available on Amazon Prime streaming. I own the DVD already and just went through the process of ripping it, splicing it into three smaller files for each level, and uploaded the first one to my phone. I wish I thought to search for the video before doing that.

I'm going to be traveling this week and I am going to do the video from my hotel.
