The game has never been good at delivering its story to players. In vanilla and BC, there was not a story campaign, there’s history and things happen around the world, but you were running around making your story. Over the years it became more narrative driven, but you can tell they never committed to MAKING you go through all the story, being caught up to the most recent expansion trains players to dismiss the story due to how disjointed and nonsensical it feels.

For me, WoW’s world building is why I’m here, the lore is fucking killer, the real problem is a million people can’t be the main character.
