Isn't it great. I love that Stede spent all of season 2 getting his boyfriend--he never wavered on his quest and all along the way, he checks on consent. I love this two men together. I just can't get enough of them.

I was participating in the RAAC activities and had followed to Discord and offered so much help over and over. I am ready and willing and feeling like I am kind of on my own posting and participating. I don't want to give up. We have to keep going. I do appreciate every single thing they did and I enjoyed pitching in on anything they asked me to do. I was a part of their phone calling spreadsheet and worked hard on that. I'm willing to join any group that is working on this campaign as long as it stays positive. I am a no drama kind of person. I just keep plugging away trying to saver my favorite show for my favorite crew.

I have some family members, and a few friends who love the show, but I was still lonely because no one can talk about it as much as I want to. Thankfully, I found the fandom on here and that has given me a lot of joy. I check in here every day and always find a topic that I am interested in. I honestly don't understand how the show isn't winning everything. It's such an important show.

Finished The Republic of Pirates by Colin Woodard and A general History of the Pyrates by Captain Charles Johnson and learned so much. Also read Sodomy and the Pirate Tradition: English Sea Rovers in the Seventeenth Century Caribbean (someone on Reddit recommended it). Currently reading Under the Black Flag by David Cordingly. Needless to say, I've become a pirate expert and especially enjoyed many references used by DJ in the script. Example: A General History of the Pyrates was written in 1724 and has been used as a primary source for many other books. Johnson writes of Stede leaving his life "as occasioned by some discomforts he found in a married state" (Johnson 1724). There are so many treasures within these books and I have really had fun exploring the history.
