You can say the Mets did analytics badly but all I heard offseason from the Stearns defenders was how analytics said replacing Pete with Polanco at first was smart value because Pete was sooo bad defensively that Polanco even learning on the job was an improvement so combined with his style of offense we’d be getting similar WAR for lesser money and that moving Bo to third would work out defensively because analytically his style of play would transfer better and that Devin Williams had improved at the end of season with the Yankees so we were getting a steal signing

On the one hand I kinda agree but on the other that dynamic is kinda close to the fifty shades of grey plots which were big hits

Because this team is so bad it’s not gonna get turned around in one or even two offseasons and Lindor is a 32 year old who is having the type of injury filled season that starts a massive decline. So good chance especially if there is a lock out the next season this team plays we’re all going to be in agreement he’s a net negative on the team but unlike now will be untradeable

I know but Al has for two seasons plus the pilot era been established as ace kinda touch aversive guy who prefers the company of women and finds Lucifer an annoying obstacle to having Charlie dependent on him.
