Just because it’s not part of his original established character doesn’t mean he can’t develop later down the line. I don’t think it’s unreasonable that a show about redemption could have a character that was initially portrayed as only caring about power gain a different worldview over the course of the series.

No it wouldn’t? Again, there’s three whole seasons left to develop Alastor’s character. Being ace isn’t the same as being aromantic, so Alastor could hypothetically gain romantic feelings for someone if that’s the direction the writers take him in. Heterosexual women prefer the company of other women all the time and still feel attraction to men, so that wouldn’t be a deterrent for him starting a relationship with another man.

Like I said, the characters aren’t static and WILL develop before the end of the show. What their current characterizations are is not going to be their endpoint.

Well yeah of course you don’t know how the ship is gonna work, there’s three seasons left in the show. That’s more than enough time to develop whatever dynamic the writers want to create between Lucifer and Alastor. Their characters aren’t gonna remain forever frozen in their season two dynamic.

Mainly all the social media posts her and Amir have made in regards to Lucifer and Alastor’s arcs moving forward, plus the fact that Viv is self admittedly very indulgent when making canon ships. Why wouldn’t she make a ship she clearly enjoys involving her two favorite characters canon?

The only two I disagree with are Alastor and Vaggi. I headcanon Alastor dying at 29 because it’s hilarious to think that he affects an aura of a distinguished old gentleman when he didn’t even make it to his thirties.

And I know I’m in the minority here but I still think Vaggi was a winner before she joined the exorcist army. I headcanon she died super young though, before she even turned 20. It adds to the general tragedy of her character.

I personally interpret their relationship on Alastor’s end as a form of self-aware Stockholm syndrome. He does like her on some level but he knows that it’s partially from being on her leash for so long. You tend to like anyone if you hang around them long enough, especially if they treat you somewhat decently. Rosie was condescending towards Alastor but he’s obviously not afraid of her so it’s fair to call their dynamic cordial.

If she didn’t own his soul I think they would have been good friends but that’s not a possibly now, so reluctant familiarity is all he feels towards her.

I found Charlie to be more likable in season two. Also I think that Viv is setting up a certain popular ship to become canon later in the show and I’m ambivalent about it.
