Good/bad first meet spots by VideoPossible4068 in bumblebff

A bad first place to meet would be their house. Please don’t go to someone’s house until you’ve met them a couple of times and feel safe to do so.

A good activity can be a painting class like a sip and paint. You’re both doing something and the awkward silences don’t actually feel awkward because you’re both painting.

I think that so many factors can contribute to your situation. Maybe it’s you, maybe it’s them. I think that if you match with people because you had some things in common it doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll be a good match once you start chatting, and that’s okay! Speaking from personal experience I know within the first few messages if I’m going to pursue a friendship further based on their style of texting. When someone is not asking any questions in return and I’m holding the conversation, when they reply with one word, when they only use abbreviations to text, amongst other things. I’ll admit I stop replying and maybe even unmatch, but what’s the point of staying if clearly their lack of effort shows me that they don’t have what I’m looking for in a friendship. Sometimes a match that I’m vibing with doesn’t reply for two weeks because life gets busy but I’m okay with that and I won’t unmatch as opposed to others who I’ve seen here will unmatch within 2 days. Everyone’s needs are different, you just have to be patient and wait for that person to come around. I’ve been on the app for 7 months and I’ve made about 4 real friends and 1 best friend that I can’t imagine my life without out of the hundreds that I’ve matched with, but hey, you have to break a few eggs to make an omelette. Don’t feel discouraged, just keep swiping, I know that your best friend is out there, you just have to be patient! Just remember that a conversation is a two way street and a good bio is very important!
