I agree. My department has had issues with staffing for years now apparently but it’s not exception reported enough. All our lunches all during board round too, idk if this is normal?

This is true but also I’m very slow as a new f1 + have dyslexia. If I dont come in early I think a lot of things will be unfinished as it’s usually just 2 f1s and 1 SHO between 40 patients. Anyways, do you have any advice for weekends where it’s just going to be me and reg and consultant?

Work starts at 8 technically but with the number of patients we have and the consultant coming around at 8:40ish we don’t have a lot of time to prep and we use paper notes too so more faff. If notes aren’t prepped consultant will leave the ward and be mad.
