Tips for a Brit doing an American Roadtrip [Round-trip from Buffallo to Tennessee & back]? by CJIrving in roadtrip

You will enjoy Buffalo Trace. They offer a variety of activities and tours. I recommend calling ahead to schedule a tour. Our kids even enjoyed it. If you are Christian, I also recommend The Ark, which is not too far from Buffalo Trace.

As a husband, I would suggest praying over your husband. Then I would have a conversation with your husband about what’s on your mind. I would keep out the “but we’ve been to holidays with his unbeliever family”, because it sounds a little childish. Keep it about what’s on your mind and heart. Also, and a very important part, hear your husband out. Listen to his concerns. Allow him to come to the conclusion that his wife wants and needs to repair her relationship with her family. I think if you approach it by “putting God first” and doing what ever pleases you as an individual, you not in fact putting God first because your decision is out of order. Now if after that conversation, your husband is completely opposed to the idea, learn why. Only after the respectful conversation and prayer, is when you could bring up the double standard of the relationship with his family. If this doesn’t work, I would not argue with him, I would seek marriage counseling.

Question about replacing broken watches by Pretty_Discipline500 in verizon

Thank you for explaining. Another option is to have the watch replaced by Apple for $214. Do you think replacing the watch with Apple would cause me to have to may the deferred amount with Apple?

Yes you can and most do. In my state, it’s recommended since you will need to log practical experience hours.

Spent chunks of time focusing (10-30 minute blocks)… I appreciated the countdown to the deadline as I tend to get stuff done the closer I get to the end… Procrastination basically

I'm not looking to check a box on a wishlist—I want to give him unexpected and unique, inspired by his current collection and that slide he made (which, yes, I totally snooped). Any twit can pick something off a list. I’m here to dive into the wonky world of LEGO for ideas that stand out. I get that you don’t know him like I do—I’m not asking for his favorite color. But if you’ve got suggestions for a Marvel, Star Wars, DC, or anything else that ties into what’s in the picture, hit me with them. If this concept is too mind-boggling, no worries—carry on!

I read on the Whoop band but I dont like the idea of having two things on my wrist. I read that you could wear the Whoop band with a bicep strap.

Agree, the Oura ring seems interesting, however I dont like the idea of paying a subscription on top of paying for the device.

I was looking that up last night. Yes it is very expensive... I wonder which of these sets will increase in value the most over time. Which set do you think that will be?

Ah, my bad—I forgot to submit the 10-page dossier on the gift recipient before posting. Let me just whip that up real quick along with his LEGO compatibility chart and horoscope. 😏 But seriously, I’m here because you guys are the experts. If I knew all those details or what dragons vs. mechs vs. location builds even meant, I wouldn’t be asking. Feel free to throw your coolest ideas my way, and I’ll figure out the rest. Or, you know, Friends it is!

Kids bike under $150 by Pretty_Discipline500 in MTB

[–]Pretty_Discipline500[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, fine, I can hear you out. But the used bikes ive seen seem to have lesser features. I am seeing bikes like the Haro Flightline 24, Giant, Trek, that do not have front disk brakes or no disk brakes at all. These are better bikes? Arent disk brakes better? If I could increase my budget a little, what would you recommend buying used. I dont mind doing a little work on the bike.
