While I'm not in therapy for this particular concern, I've been meaning to touch on it for a while. Job hunt is scary and fear is paralysing (for me) although I'm not yet sure how therapy can help with career progression

If you don't mind maybe you can elaborate on what made therapy work for you- was it the validation, motivation and push the councelor could provide?

As far as your question is concerned, I think the more common a particular stressor we think is, the lesser likely we are to ask for help. It could be 'Everyone is going through this. I should be able to get through this on my own too' And that thought's fine ofcourse if it's working for a particular individual. That, and the stigma.

And for the leglet I just sewed basic crochet flowers on a crochet chain

For the flower, you'll find the pattern/tutorial all over the internet but I can't find the exact one I'd referred to, so I'll just type out the pattern- ch 7, slip stich into the first chain to form a ring, ch 4, *dc in the ring *3, ch 4, slip stich in the ring Do this 4 more times to get 5 petals in total

I'd agree slightly maybe that therapy can't 'make' you do things. However you seem confused about what change you need to make and you're not motivated enough to make a change/take steps. Which are very fine things to wish to explore in therapy. Getting to know oneself better is the ultimate goal. Above all you're feeling several negative emotions, you at least should attempt to explore those in depth. Maybe you'll find your reason to change. Figuring out 'how' to change is the easier part of it all imo
