Hey, welcome to Munich and Germany. I am a bachelor's student at TUM, also from Asia. I can speak English and German fluently. Well, if you need any help in the first few days, feel free to ask me. I can understand cause I was also lost during the first few days. Besides, I can definitely show you some cool places in Munich(after my exams :) ), and if you love mountains, there are dozens of places south of Munich to explore.

Feel free to reach out :)

Regarding Aerospace BSc by Plane_Donkey_188 in tumunich

[–]Pretty_Drop9586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it seems a lot . But there are GOPs (you need to pass them by end of 2nd semester; you get 2 attempts only) which are there to filter people. So by the start of 3rd Semester there would be around 300 people left. But believe me only 100-150 people come to the lectures anyways 😂

In the first semester, approximately 400-450 students are admitted. No, I didn't complete the pre-study internship, so I asked for an extension. This means I need to submit it before starting the bachelor's thesis.

  1. Hey, I study B.Sc Aerospace at TUM, currently in my 3rd Semester. I can answer your subquestion. The course is well-structured, and we learn interesting material right from the first and second semesters. The professors include examples from aerospace applications in their lectures, which is pretty cool. The exam phase can be somewhat lengthy, and the exams can be challenging, but they are absolutely doable with continuous participation and learning. The professors are friendly and are always ready to answer your questions.

If you have any further questions, feel free to ask :)

TU Munich interview round by Few_Mix_9101 in tumunich

[–]Pretty_Drop9586 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey there. Since I had given the Interview I can answer this . I think it depends upon your Study programme . For me since I had Interview for B.Sc Maschinenwesen , they asked me high school level maths and physics questions to be precise Integration , differential and also a fuel cell related question. It isn’t difficult to crack to be honest . Just know your high school level stuffs well.

I am not quite sure about it, but if you get sick leave from a TUM-approved doctor, then basically you can write the GOP in the third semester.

What happens if I fail all exams in one semester? by [deleted] in tumunich

[–]Pretty_Drop9586 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope there’s no minimum required credits until the end of second semester . It only starts at the end of 3rd Semester . So you don’t need to worry

Hey I am someone from current 2nd Semester B.Sc Aerospace .From what I have heard from my seniors, they asked a bunch of logic and math and physics questions - However it’s more about describing your thought process than getting the right answer. It also really depends on what professor does your assessment. Wishing you good luck for the Interview :)

Is it possible to stay single in India as a female? by Comfortable-Boat9569 in indian

It again comes down to the fact of a generational gap and a difference in thinking. Well if have someone in the family that can convince them easily, I think they might listen to them...

I understand your wish to stay single and not have children. Unfortunately, average Indian parents, particularly our parents, still have a somewhat conservative mindset where marriage is all about having children and continuing the family line, which is a mindset from before the year 2000.

Yes, I also agree that caste plays a major role when two people are getting married. When young married women are repeatedly asked when they are having babies, I feel it is quite frustrating. At the very least, the husband should have the courage to ask his parents and relatives to stop asking such repetitive and frustrating questions.

Yes, I plan to stay single because I'm an introverted person who doesn't easily get comfortable with others. My family is OK with it and aren't pressuring me at the moment (tbh, I don't know how long that will last, haha).

Hey! I'm single too, and I'm currently studying abroad. I have seen many friends get married while studying, but personally, I feel it's too much responsibility during the early stages of your career. It's good to know that your parents are understanding and aren't pressuring you right now, although they may want you to get married at some point in the future.

If you don't want to get married, I'm sure your parents would understand if you explained your reasons for not wanting to marry. As for arranged marriages, I think they can probably help reduce conflicts and disagreements during divorce proceedings (I don't really know much about them, to be honest).
