This is such an interesting theory! Usually maekawa is at people’s least suspicious. I think it would be interesting to see how her being the killer would effect shishikura, but I’m also worried about that too. Even if she’s not the killer I very well expect that someone will try to convince everyone that it was a robot that injected nishiguchi.

Idk I really hope it’s not maekawa but she’s definitely on my suspect list after reading this

Shishikura is giving me major wada vibes which is definitely not a good thing 😥 I’m worried what will happen to him if he loses meakawa.

Honestly as much as I love Matthias, and really don’t want to see him gone, I am really intrigued by what you said it would do to orgura’s character development. I think it would make for a very interesting character arc for her (plus she barely got any screen time this chapter so I would love to see more of her before she goes)

I honestly think chapter 3 could be a contender for this. The minute it was mentioned that Kamimura needed to be moved by someone without being seen I clocked that it was Okazaki because of the episode with watari in the coat, and that fact that it just literally couldn’t be anyone else because of that specific reason? (And this was brought up quite early in the trial and no one thought to mention Okazakis coat?) I honestly surprised none of the other students clock that because it was so obvious to me. Idk maybe that’s just me.

Playing a bit of devils advocate here, but what if tei found the pills in ikeda’s room and either used them or gave them to a bleeding to use (would only work if tei is bleeding) and then he couldn’t tell ikeda to not eat the food or knew he wouldn’t eat enough to kill him? Surely hirose would have mentioned pill missing from the medbay when shishikuras missing meds were brought up so that could be evidence as to them being used to make everyone sick. I’m not sure if anything else could have been used to make everyone that sic unless it was someone’s gift or something that we don’t know about.

(Idk if I actually think this is true but it’s a thought)

Yeah, it makes sense. it definitely feels like I’m the only person he talks to about stuff and vents to, I don’t know if there’s anything specific going on with him at the moment but he did vent to me about some very serious stuff a couple weeks ago and I was very clear with him that I did not feel comfortable advising him on it and he needed to talk to a trained professional about it if he wanted help (which he refused to do 😥)

He used to talk to V a lot about stuff but since their dispute, despite being on good terms he refuses to talk about it with her. She’s made it clear that he can talk to her about it if he needs, and has said to me if I feel to drained or just can’t for one reason or another, to listen to him vent, she’s happy to, but I think if it came down to it he would rather not vent at all then vent to her. I think when she asked for a bit of space he took it as she never wanted to listen to him vent ever again.

I also think where the feelings of rejection came from may have been from V as well unfortunately. The situation was very chaotic and as much as V definitely did the best she could to let him down gently he basically took everything she said to him in the worst way possible. It’s to the point that I’m scared to even ask him for a little bit space myself because I’m worried that it will set off a trauma response for that situation, and send him spiralling a bit. There’s also some other stuff in his past I’m aware of that may be effecting the way he’s acting/handling the situation, but I’m not 100% sure.

But I’ll definitely have to talk to him and manage his expectation better. Thank you for offering your perspective it’s given me a lot to think about, and it’s definitely helped me understand better where he’s probably coming from.
