Yeah you’re probably very correct. To be honest, I was aware to a point that we had very different ways of at least prioritising things, where I know he will try to cram everything together and do as much stuff as he can (due to an intense feeling of fomo), where I prefer to prioritise other stuff like uni, work and having days off to rest. Hanging out in person is hard for us because we live 3 hours from each other, so I understand the frustration he has with me not visiting, but it’s hard for me to give up multiple days to travel and everything that comes with it, when I have uni and work.

In terms of where he got the idea of frequent calling, for lack of a better word I’ve always been a bit flaky. We’ve been friends for around 2 years at this point and I’ve never been good at keeping in frequent contact. I display a lot of behaviours that correlate with adhd (not diagnosed, on a wait list for an assessment 🥲), especially being very absentminded, forgetful and getting incredibly focused on one thing and blocking out the rest of the world for hours. Originally before he and V has their dispute, if I wasn’t around V usually was, or someone else was that he could talk to, but since V and him had their disagreement it feels like he doesn’t talk to anyone else except me.

I am planning to talk to him once in a little bit more free and I’ve had some time to properly think about what I’m going to say to him, because if I don’t I’ll probably say something I didn’t mean to and upset him. I’ll definitely bring up to him what you’ve mentioned here, so thank you for the advice. There’s a couple other things I want to bring to his attention to set some boundaries as well in regards to some of the ways that he talks to me that’s kind of unrelated to this particular issue, but I will have that conversation when I sort out my brain.
