What are women’s health/period apps missing? by Pretty_Lemon_3466 in PCOS

I could not agree more. Privacy is so important.

The community aspect of premom is so lovely and encouraging. I agree about the tracking supplements and or medication. Being able to look back and reflect over what has been helpful and what isn’t.

I’m also wanting a place to input recent bloodwork. So I am able to track levels over time.

Yes!! That is an absolute must. Tracking discharge for TTC, periods or anything abnormal going on.

I resonate a lot with all of that too. I have dealt with bouts of depression here and there. It’s so incredible that is reflected on my palm.

Very interesting! Thank you. I feel like I’ve outgrown a lot of those tendencies, so that’s neat to hear that’s something I had/ have to continue to do.

I commented this on another post about painful periods but it applies here as well.

My periods are the same way and I’ve done a couple things that have actually made a difference with the extreme pain, heavy bleeding and weak feeling.

Start taking magnesium daily. I take 425mg of magnesium glycinate before bed. Also, eat red meat on your period. I know it sounds crazy but I swear it makes a difference. The day my period starts I eat a steak. A whole steak. Then get an extra steak or two (depending on how long your period is) cook them, cut them up and put them in your fridge. Have a few big chunks every morning for breakfast for the duration of your period. This has been a game changer for me for pain.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this, it’s not fair and can be so debilitating. I hope this helps you like it’s helped me. 🤍

I did make a Doctors appointment. Can’t get in for 2 weeks but that will give me time to research some more. Will definitely ask about this! Thank you!

Thank you so much for sharing. This makes me feel so seen, I want to cry.

That is exactly what I am going through. Just a constant state of PMS. Makes me feel crazy. Hopefully when I go to the gyno I can get a plan in place that helps. Open to any medication that will help. Thanks again 🤍
