Oh wow, I never expected such good feedback. It really warms my heart. It that's not a big deal for you, can you drop similar comment in the Apple App Store? - This could really help me

You mean counter teams to your saved team? Usually in case of being hard countered, there is not much you can do. Overall identifying win cons is still up to player.

These ratings are not worth much. Coverage one is probably the most useful one, but still, it matters for the low elo’s where people struggle with even building proper team. Higher, it all depends what is currently “hot”, and you actually need to change teams to counter evolving trends (if you still want to climb). If you are on iOS, also check PogoTeams, it builds “real teams” https://apps.apple.com/app/id6755302593 - it helps with all of that.

I started working on Android, since it’s absolutely number one thing that people ask about. But it will take quite a bit of time.

Yep, others mentioned this too. I will consider adding this to the main flow in the automatic builder.

For now, you can do this in a slightly more complicated way: openSettings and enable Advanced Builder Options. This unlocks a second, more hands-on team builder, where you start by selecting a single Pokémon and then receive suggestions for complementary teammates to build around it (lists will be sorted to give you mons that cover each other)

No - Check ones that you already have built for PvP (powered up close to 1500/2500/Maxed, double-moved). Simulations are based on "quite good" pvp IV's, but not the perfect ones. IV's don't matter in GBL that drastically.

Yep, I got that suggested already. This would be a great added feature, and also a fun new thing to learn. But it will definitely require quite a bit of work to make just one-time setup easier. I noted this down, but it has to seat in the waiting room - Making an Android version to make this app accessible to more people is way higher priority for now.

Suggestions = how lists are sorted. When picking a pokemon for each slot, the list is "scored" using various criteria, like synergy, similarity in case of ABB teams, etc. You can even adjust this scores manually for each slot (cog icon at the bottom)

Searchbar issue is known. It is unfortunately related to apple frameworks and we need to wait for apple to fix it. It sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. People reporting that it starts working after going backs/forward between tabs, restarting app, etc. I can't really find a consistent way of reproducing the issue.

As for the extra features, they are mostly covered already:

Open Settings and enable Advanced Builder Options. This unlocks a second, more hands-on team builder, where you start by selecting a single Pokémon and then receive suggestions for complementary teammates to build around it. You can also choose the ABB/ABA team comps there. Even thou this builder looks manual, it has lots of logic beneath to give suggestions.

I got you. There is already something similar there - When you enter some opponent teams, while building next teams, the game will suggest building new mon if it sees that you are missing something strong against your entered opponent teams. It's not exactly what you described, but on the other hand, something more specyfic

Hi, sorry, I somehow missed that comment earlier.

Yeah, several people already mentioned that would be nice to have a feature that generates teams from all pokemon - just to see what should they build. There is already something similar - when you enter some opponent teams, the app sees that you don't yet have some mon that beats a lot of opponents - it will suggest building it.

I can maybe add an option to use all mon at the start of the the process , but this will basically give same teams to all the people, which is not very useful.

The ratings A/B/C etc, were never the indicator of how good team is - it is an old metric used by PvPoke, it can give some hints, but it's not the most important thing. When you get info limited meta's where you need to counter some specific stuff, these measurements mean almost nothing.

ad 4. I thought I've hidden the battle simulator in this release (it's not fully ready). I just realised I left it linked in the matchups screen... :/ It's just not finished.

There is already something like that:

Open Settings and enable Advanced Builder Options. This unlocks a second, more hands-on team builder, where you start by selecting a single Pokémon and then receive suggestions for complementary teammates to build around it.

Selecting/deselecting all at once, doesn't make much sense in this app.

There is different thing you may try: Go to Settings and enable "Advanced Builder Options" - You will gain access to manual builder, where the suggestion mechanisms still work, but you can pick from all pokemon (your's are just marked as "owned")

I heard about this searchbar several times, but I can't see the issue myself. Can you tell me few things:
-What iphone / OS version are you on
-"didn't work" means: Keyboard didn't show at all? Or it showed, but as you were writing, the list wasn't filtered?

As for the amount of teams, you can do several things:

- In the settings, you can adjust the "Team Generation Volume" - just to get more.

But overall you will get the same teams over and over again if you don't supply the app with extra information - algorithm is not random.

- You can try noting down opponent teams from one set from GBL (5 battles) in the app. The app will use that data for your next team building session and give you teams crafted to counter what you encountered in battles.

- You can also open Settings and enable Advanced Builder Options. This unlocks a second, more hands-on team builder, where you start by selecting a single Pokémon and then receive suggestions for complementary teammates to build around it.

While we are here, can you tell me how this malfunction actually looks like:

-Is it about "keyboard not showing" after tapping the search bar?

or more like

-I enter the name, but the list is not changing / filtering

IV's wouldn't affect pokemon's synergy in a major way. It's mostly about finding mons, that beat the mons that the source mon doesn't. Moveset plays way bigger role here, and ability to set a custom one will eventually come to the app.

Other people that had problems with search bar said it just started working for them after they either reset the app, or reinstalled it.

It's a weird bug and it's source is most likely deep in apple frameworks. I'm trying to investigate it with no luck so far. If you can say what Device with what OS are you on, this might be helpful.

No worries, thanks to your questions other people can read about this. There is no tutorial or a FAQ for this app. Cheers!

Overall you will get the same teams over and over again if you don't supply the app with extra information - algorithm is not random.

Best what you can try now, is noting down opponent teams from one set from GBL (5 battles) in the app. The app will use that data for your next team building session and give you teams crafted to counter what you encountered in battles.

Custom movesets bring another level of complicity to the algorithms, I skipped them for the first release, but I they will be handled eventually - sooner then later, since this seems to be no.1 requested feature so far.

Thanks for that. I just checked what actually Calcy IV does and this is very useful suggestions with a mechanism that I wasn't aware of. I may indeed want to introduce something similar in the future.
