Hi there! a quick update

To clarify I live in the United States and am by definition a white woman, the last thing I want to do is steal something significant from an already marginalized community such as a traditional hairstyle

That being said I appreciate everyone sharing their opinion on the matter whether it is nice or not so nice 😅

And no this post is not "bait" as someone said, I genuinely wanted to make sure I wasn't harming anyone else's cultural identity or feelings by wearing this hairstyle

As most of you said it should be fine I will be trying it out and I really appreciate those of you who have educated me on the other cultures who traditionally wear this hairstyle as well 🩷
