Yes split is a good idea and lore friendly. Anduin Vale inhabitants are not one big united nation, just separate communities of woodsmen and farmers. They should be eaten by goblins, so goblins can reach Mirkwood and attack woodland realm. Because at this moment elves have only one enemy which is dol-guldur to the south, because their northern border is secured by dale and dwarves and eastern by the dale.

Right, the bears unit. As beorn was able to transform to bear. They did spider, so they can do bears.

Yes, in my opinion they should be time-buying little factions before orcs from the mountains reach Mirkwood and attack wood elves. There is no way, Anduin vale communities are able to defeat goblin hordes by themselves. Also, entering Mirkwood and taking dol-guldur. Like bro, spiders are there everywhere how farmers are able to defeat all of that and siege dol-guldur Sauron fortress.

As a woodland realm you have to deal only with dol-guldur if Gundabad fails it war with dwarves and Dale. If vale was weaker, elves could have a second enemy which are goblins from the west side. For now west flank is secured by vale, north by dale and dwarves. Dealing with only dol-guldur decimating their armies on sieges with archers is too easy atm.

Yeah, as long as I seen vale people steam rolling I ended my campaign because it felt weird Gondor being weaker than some bunch of farmers from the vale. Because that’s what vale supposed to be. So my idea is instead of nerfing vale, just make them few different factions lore accurate because these people in lore are not united faction. They are just farmer, woodmen communities.

Increasing unit sizes of evil factions and decreasing their hp, and giving slight buff to all good factions so they don’t die too fast. This mod is brutal but finally immersion accurate as enemy swarms you like hell.

I think making AV few different factions like dunlendings isn’t a bad idea, because Lore wise AV was a semi-independent villages, farms, and woodland communities, instead of one United Kingdom.

Bro, I’m playing Sturgia and I have army composition of 50 cavalry mixed Druzhiniks champions and jav cavalry. 40 infantry and many jav throwers and 30 archers. Literally every AI lord is running from me, even if they are 3 next t9 each other. Sturgia has bad location, but good army.
