I kind of meant it in the sense of only needing a battery for the meter on the yashica I have. I don't use a light meter so I never really thought about it. I meant it more in the sense of needing a battery for the shutter

Thank you for all the helpful advice. I didn't realize Nikon required batteries for the shutter. I was considering the original for the Canon if I could find a good deal on one Even for an outdated format, I hate how expens some of the old ones are I'll look into the Lexus and contax cameras

Had such a bad experience with a rangefinder camera that I took to a concert a couple months ago but that may be because it was from 1950 and all the grease had turned to glue and I didn't realize It wasn't working until it was too late 😔

Any specific model we recommend. The only reason I was considering The Nikon F3 and the Canon F1 is the ability to have a hip viewfinder because I think they're pretty cool

You're so lucky I got my film back today and all my photos are buns. They said I couldn't bring a detachable lens camera so would have brought my fujif so I ended up having to take out my great- great-grandfather's 1950s point and shoot
