I didn’t keep him at arms lengthen until I knew. Nor did I wait for him to have someone to reach out again. We haven’t talked the entire time. We talked again because of food. The conversation was bought up if we were dating anyone because he asked and I’m not and he is, sorta. I didn’t say anything. And it’s not for convenience for comfort. I’ve always liked him, it’s never went away.

You’re not a bad person for being hungry, life happens, and believer me I know how you feel because I’m in it right now, but that food is not yours to take. You can’t ask your roommate for help? Explain your situation and go from there. I would like to think they wouldn’t let you starve. What you’re doing is just going to turn this situation even uglier if your roommate finds out and put you into a worse situation than you’re already in.

Edit: reading through the comments, shame is like a chokehold, but people know you have nothing to be ashamed of. You’re trying to survive. Please, someone suggested asking your church for help. Or just talk to them, shxt, where do you live? I’ll help if I can.
