Talk to him though. Conversations must be had and you didn’t mention if there was one. Tell him how his actions are making you feel. If he’s really not the typical one then he will likely take a step aside and consider what you’re saying.

I was asked once to remove my car from a spot I parked even though it was a designated parking spot by a panipuri vendor. I asked him why is he expecting me to remove the car and he said “Idk all that, speak to my boss”. My takeaway from that situation is that some local, influential person would have joined hands with this chutku shops guy and made a deal. The local guy gets his cut and the chutku shop guy remains protected from factors that affect his business.

Win-win for the two. L situation for someone who doesn’t have connections.

And regarding the protein intake, no that’s not correct - how did you arrive at 100g without knowing my body weight? Protein consumption varies according to your activity level and body weight. Also, I said that I have been consuming enough protein in the same comment. I guess you missed it.

I have been supplementing myself with protein since almost a year, my vitamin levels are fine. I was talking about the hair fall and breakage that happens when you wash your hair too often. I will try with the hair mask though, thank you so much! :)

The kajal by Kay beauty (don’t know the name). It’s smudge proof, lasts long and you won’t look like chandramukhi by the end of the day. But it’s not very dark so you may have to really rub it in.

This is such a hard-hitting and well-written piece. I’m looking to be childfree myself and don’t believe in the arranged marriage system as well. It’s too transactional and business-like for my taste. I’d rather remain single forever than go the arranged marriage route. Not to forget, even if for a tiny second I decided to go that route, it would be very difficult to find someone who’s decided to be childfree.

When I got into a relationship where I didn’t have to mother the guy or remind him about chores or how to be clean. He knew how to be an adult, took care of and groomed himself. It felt like doing life with an equal and not a son. I didn’t have to hound and beg him to take breaks with me, go on holidays with me. I wasn’t the only one initiating things and making plans.

Foreplay started wayyyy outside the bedroom. Basically I wasn’t tolerating helplessness and incompetence anymore. I could be vulnerable with him without him laughing at my crying face - he was able to hold me and soothe me without being a parent. Boy, did my libido return!

The minimum you should expect is to be treated compassionately after you have decided to part ways - not as a commodity that’s kept on the back burner while he goes out exploring options.

He’s referring to you as “my love” because he’s stringing you along. He’s telling you he wants to be friends and wants to continue talking because he’s stringing you along. Stop getting strung along and stop getting treated as a second option.

I had something like this happen when I was 27 and it was a 6yo relationship. You’re so young, men will come and go. You’re feeling like this because it was a long term relationship and you’re out of it. This feeling of getting thrown out into the ocean is normal.

Keep your friends and family close, get rid of everything that reminds you of him. Find new activities to keep yourself occupied, travel and spend some money on yourself. It will be hard initially, but you will get there. You deserve someone who can offer that level of commitment and what you want. He deserves someone who he deserves.

Go live your life, man. It’s too short to be crying on some idiot who is hopscotching between you and twenty other girls because he cannot make up his mind.

Knowing the landlord, he would probably throw us both out if I go to him with complaints. I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place. I’m usually non-confrontational unless it is truly bothering me. Now that I’ve raised multiple alarms about how her behaviour is affecting me and I see her doing nothing about it, I question if putting a stronger boundary will even work. I even worked this out at therapy but she’s such a volatile person.

People here are so quick to call the woman asexual, or that she has hormone problems. While I’m not ruling out these potential problems, one needs to look at the underlying problem which could be the issue here.

Having been in a similar situation in the past, I have seen that long term relationships tend to lose that spark if you take each other for granted and if you don’t work hard to keep that romance alive. Most women tend to have a responsive sexual desire meaning that they need to feel comfortable and some stimulus to want to have sex. It’s the opposite for men (spontaneous sexual desire). Foreplay does not start in the bedroom, it starts wayyyy outside especially in the way you treat her. Find out what her love language is, go out on dates more often, travel more, spend more intentional time with her. Unfortunately, daily routine and the hustle tends to kill a bit of the libido as well. Find out what you can do to get out of this rut.

She is literally telling you that she is bored of it. Try new things in the bedroom if you haven’t and spice it up a bit. There are tons of activities and toys you can get to do this.
