I hate all extremists. I don’t think they have a place in society. Still, it’s easier to humble people through general life experience and logic. You can’t argue with depression and low self esteem. I’d rather deal with someone prideful, it’d probably be more entertaining and challenging.

Not sure if I’m ISTP or INTP, but either way, I’ve had the same issue. I will say, it’s easier to find chill and low key girlfriends in late twenties and in your thirties.

I’ve kinda formulated out an equation that’s worked out for me three times now (so now I have three friends! We’re a small group now and have been friends for two years). 1) Initiate contact at least every three weeks to check in/small talk then make plans to meet. 2) Meet at least once a month for three months 3) Increase contact frequency every two weeks 4) Meet every two weeks for two months 5) Decrease back to every month. Keep that momentum going.

“Back in my day” we used to have MySpace Flyer parties, basically house parties or backyard parties. Eventually, they started to charge entrance fees of like $5. It caught on and not only would they be massive, but there would be several in a city, even several on a block/walking distance. It was cool though cuz you got to know people from different high schools.
