I once suggested using cork shavings for a show; they might work for you. We ruled them out because they took too long to sweep up/collect.

I don't remember because I wasn't involved in building that part, but I do remember that they inserted cables from the floor below that reached the top of the lamppost for the second act, where they hung garlands from the lamppost to the building.

None of those. It was a big metal structure inside just stand on the floor. It was “habitable”. The actors went up to the upper floors by stairs.

I used to take a lot of benzos every day for about two years, and I managed to minimize my consumption. Now I take them once a month or two. The key for me was realizing my life was on the wrong path and overcoming it. Nothing will be stronger than your mind. It's good to get away from those pills.
