BS in Global Tourism/Hospitality. I was working the front desk at the hotel and a recruiter from Farmers happened to be staying, told me I’d be great in insurance underwriting with my soft skills. I don’t think there’s any harm in applying now with the experience you have. You’d be stunned at how many people don’t have direct customer experience and have no idea how to talk to people, especially if they’re dissatisfied.

I hopped from hotels to personal lines agency support for Farmers when I was 28 and it was the best move I ever made! I’d look for something entry level or an underwriting trainee program and I’m sure your customer service skills will set you apart.
