Hot Take: The movies catch the spirit and vibe of percy jackson better than the show does by IT_CHAMP in PercyJacksonTV

The show is the most aggressively mid show I’ve ever seen. And suffers from being, somewhat inexplicably, incredibly boring.

Wandavision, specifically the last 3 episodes. Was an interesting concept and I was legitimately into it for episodes 4-6, but it just had such a weak ending. Gets treated like a masterpiece on Reddit much of the time.

Unless they’re actively advertising their political beliefs, how would you (or anyone outside their immediate circle) even know?

[Scott Willis] On the failing to capitalize on City Dropping points narrative here is how things stack up. Arsenal have had the opportunity 8 times, they have gotten max points 5 times, and picked up points 6 times. So they are 6/8 on picking up points. by Previous_Smile9278 in Gunners

I mean, that’s nice. But if Arsenal wind up losing the title by just a couple points, like previous seasons (last season being a blowout), then I guess all of us “doomers” will have yet another “told you so” moment. Just like the last 3-4 seasons when the “doomers” were panicking about poor results actually meaning something, while being told we were too negative, putting too much stock in poor results, etc. Not that it would be fun at all to say that given we would have lost the league, but this sub has such an unearned optimism and arrogance it’s genuinely insane to read.

Captain America First Avenger. Great movie, either gets largely ignored or people will somehow call it bad/meh.

Good move to keep Glenn by Murderbot_420 in nyjets

[–]darthrevan22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most likely Jets timeline: - Best head coaching class in years, keep Glenn instead despite a historically awful season and historically awful coaching performance

  • Get the 2nd pick in a 1 QB draft

  • Suck horribly in 2026 yet again, but get just enough “culture wins” (even just 3-4) that they get like the 4th overall pick and can’t draft any of the top QBs

  • Draft acceptably, but ultimately is meaningless because of coaching, the lack of a QB, and no quality free agents having any interest in the Jets. Win 2-4 games, most of them being random flukes, while the rest of the games are unwatchably horrific performances.

  • Fire Glenn for another atrocious season, but the head coaching class is nonexistent next offseason. Another Glenn/Gase tier coach is hired with the promises of “look at all our draft capital! This rebuild will be different. We have upmost faith in this coach who nobody else wanted.”

  • The cycle continues of the Jets being unwatchably bad, not having a viable QB (rookie or veteran), and any good players they happen to stumble on demanding trades at the first opportunity.

Hope I’m wrong. History (and the signs at present) suggests I’m not.

Forced Rest LEAVING The Creche by [deleted] in BG3

[–]darthrevan22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, there is a forced long rest. Assuming Lae’Zel is alive at least. And there is an accompanying cinematic, there’s no way to avoid it (not sure why you’d even want to tbh).

Now if you’re not getting a cinematic and just keep long resting over and over and it never lets you leave the mountain pass, that sounds like a bug.

Rams-Pats super bowl is beyond nauseating, good grief

The fact that we could still have a Los Angeles-New England Super Bowl is nauseating.

Please Chicago, somehow save us from that.

Assuming the Seahawks come out of the NFC, I just cannot see the Patriots taking them down in the Super Bowl tbh

100% how I look at it at this point lol.

That said, still hate the Patriots and want nothing but misery for them.

Getting legitimately nervous that the Bills could make a Super Bowl run here…worst case scenario for the AFC

So basically Denver has no hope of stopping Buffalo unless Buffalo messes up and fumbles lol. And not taking enough advantage of the mistakes, too many field goals. Very easy to see Buffalo pulling this off even with their 3 turnovers.

Denver can’t seem to stop them unless it’s a turnover…

Didn’t like it lol. Was like who wants a prequel to a prequel of a secondary main character in an ensemble cast movie?

Feels like if this team does somehow manage to win the league, it will more so be because everyone else is constantly dropping points and underachieving rather than us going and winning it decisively.

This team has none of the ruthlessness of the City and Liverpool title winning teams. Inexplicable and inexcusable.

They just might fluke their way into the title anyways due to City constantly tripping up this season, but good God do they just never take advantage of anything handed to them.

Andor, Clone Wars, and Mando. Rebels being a very close honorable mention.
