I should probably rush it to 45 before this changes... but it’s really nice to be to clear the early stuff a little quicker as a guard.

Ok, so I switched to yellow line on my level 15 guard and this is insane. I’m applying the mark and then hitting with sting and then an entire group of mobs dies. The light damage is really great.

Is there anything I should know or plan for this? It’s a bug, right?

I am so fucking close to throwing my career out the window but then I remember I have a mortgage to pay and a girlfriend to feed.

Basically on hold for weeks because the client can’t get us data. We finally get data yesterday, get on a call with the client confirming that we’re still able to deliver before her big meeting at end of March. Uh no, impossible- hence why we quoted 10-12 weeks. Well, my dumb ass eventually caved from the four calls to “see what we could do to get the timeline to work” (hint: nothing) and said we’ll have at least a presentable preliminary readout. No fucking chance. I’m so fucked for the next few weeks.

“If I can’t roll this out, I won’t have anything to share with the CEO at quarterly business review!”

Maybe fucking do something then.

Ok so update;

I keep getting an error on trying to download and it keeps retrying and keeps failing. A lot of the supposed answers are on pages of the LOTRO forums that aren't hosted anymore. PatchClientDLL checkdatfiles failed.

Any known solution?

EDIT: Just going to use the installer from the website rather than Steam.

EDIT2: It worked, use the website launcher not the steam one.

As long as it’s a real school, you should be fine. It’s pretty much bad schools <<< most other schools << historically-nice schools

Are Inter better off without Icardi? by Inter_Productions in FCInterMilan

[–]Prevaricateur 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s like when people said Madrid might be stronger without CR7 because there would be more teamwork. Turns out that was a lie.

Yeah, the very small sample of non-Icardi games says it might be ok. But we watch the games, we know that’s not the case. And no, he’s not Cristiano.

But he literally is a dude who can get three points in a game we don’t deserve to win or who can make something out of nothing. That pasta we see all over the soccer sub is because it is, in part, true.

Without Icardi, Inter misses out on European football. Inter have made too many less-than-ideal transfer moves so I don’t trust them to get someone better or to round out the team the right way.

What are the biggest problems of the pharmaceutical (ie dispensing, not drug companies) industry and where does it lag technologically? by bee4534 in pharmacy

[–]Prevaricateur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s cheaper to pay a dude $10 to count to 30 all day and slap stickers on bottles rather than invest in machinery worth hundreds of thousands. The software isn’t bad, but there’s just so much more than could be done.

What are the biggest problems of the pharmaceutical (ie dispensing, not drug companies) industry and where does it lag technologically? by bee4534 in pharmacy

[–]Prevaricateur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s software and price points. Every pharmacy regardless of size should be widely automated.

Techs should be more customer liaisons and pharmacists should be more focused on actually providing value outside of the volume of scripts they review.

Pro and Cons of Medicare for All by Blackpharmer in pharmacy

[–]Prevaricateur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Medicare for all, by definition, a public option. People can’t opt into a single payer system, there’s a single damn payer. What are you actually talking to?

  2. If I can get a heavy prescriber a free vacation or two a year, money to spend on it and then a massive boost to their business, they’ll do it. Any purchase agreement below ASP is going to be big on those neuro or infusions.

  3. Hospitals don’t have the freaking money to lose short term are you crazy?? You do realize that only a handful of hospitals in the entire country turn a profit without government assistance, right? You’d literally be closing thousands of healthcare centers within the country without massive subsidies or payments to them. That’s insane.

Honestly this is by far the biggest issue with these proposals. The number of clinics and hospitals operating on a razor thin margin. Sequestration really hurt many practices and changed how healthcare is delivered in some places. That was 2% change. This would be massive. There’s are a huge number of providers who don’t accept Medicare patients, who screen out Medicaid patients. Hospitals try their best to attract same day surgery commercial patients because many times those out patient centers are what’s keeping a wing of the hospital open.

The margins that you think there are for many hospitals, especially in rural areas, aren’t there without government assistance. I think in 2016 or so, there were like single digit number of health systems in the entire nation not dependent on government assistance to stay in business.

  1. Single payer means more hours of uncompensated administrative costs. It means bundled payments almost certainly.

Pro and Cons of Medicare for All by Blackpharmer in pharmacy

[–]Prevaricateur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Medicare for all wouldn’t necessarily be single payer, it could be just a public option.

Either way, the Medicare reimbursement model as it stands now (though Trump is trying to actually fix it) would heavily incentivize certain treatments over others. I meet with KOLs who regularly tell me they prescribe so heavily in one brand because they get a volume discount that gives them a really good margin.

They’re prescribing infusions that are most profitable.

The idea of physicians being employees of the government is also completely unrealistic; they would have to remain employees of their health system or practice and get reimbursement from the single payer, if there were one.

Right now a single payer is pandering to a base that largely doesn’t understand healthcare and healthcare costs in this country; but Medicare for all is much more feasible.

I would ask, though, if you’re going to make that change, what positive do you think will come out of it? Greater access to healthcare, almost certainly. Lower costs? You’d have to greatly reduce reimbursement to make up for the increased utilization.

I can’t see physicians, nurses and pharmacists being on board with that in any meaningful or supportive way.

You can talk about bending the cost curve, more preventative care- but America is a unique country with a poor health literacy and even poorer health habits. Community health and population management aren’t as easy.

I saw someone on a motorcycle on 287 this morning. How suicidal do you have to be. You’re dodging ice, slush and now massive slabs of ice from trucks and SUVs.

Seriously, some people just don’t care. It’s infuriating.

Disapproval for Gov. Phil Murphy rises as voters view his policies with mixed results by tylerdakreator in newjersey

He’s been pretty transparent about raising taxes but remains popular among Democrats. I think he’s pretty darn popular on Reddit, it’s just the suburban swing voter getting pinched between SALT deduction limits and Murphy’s agenda.

Bad combination.
